told by doug on 'other computer problems forum' that i was running both avg(its the antispyware) and norton antivirus on same pc and this was not good; doug adviced post hj this log for you experts to check over, many thanks mark.

Hi

I don't believe AVG Anti-Spyware would conflict with Norton antivirus. Things would be different if it was AVG Anti virus.

However, you could check & fix following entries with hjt (nothing bad just cleaning the log :)):
