Hello patje21 :)

My name is SNOWHITE and I will be helping you with your Malware problem.

PLEASE READ THIS POST COMPLETELY, IT MAY MAKE IT EASIER FOR YOU IF YOU COPY AND PASTE THIS POST INTO A NEW TEXT DOCUMENT OR PRINT IT FOR REFERENCE LATER

Please follow the steps below exactly in the order they are written:

Step #1

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove. In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button" when VundoFix appears upon rebooting.

Step #2

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

NOTE: If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.

NOTE: process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Step #3

Please download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) and save it to your Desktop.
  • Close all other windows before proceeding.
  • Double-click on dss.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When it has finished, dss will open two Notepads main.txt and extra.txt – please copy (CTRL+A and then CTRL+C) and paste (CTRL+V) the contents of main.txt and extra.txt in your next reply.
In your next post please include the following reports:
  • VundoFix report
  • SmitfraudFix report
  • dss scan reports main.txt and extra.txt
Let me know how the things went.

Regards,

Hello patje21 :)

I know that my virusscanner is outdated, i had one and then went back to this one.

I hope you are not planning to pay for VirusRescue 3.0 v3.0 please read here for more information:
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/uninstall/…cue-v3.0.1.html
http://www.spywarewarrior.com/rogue_anti-spyware.htm

AV: VirusRescue 3.0 v3.0 (VirusRescue) Outdated

It will be good for you if you can update your NOD32 antivirus, which is a very good program for protecting your computer.

If you are unable to update it, then i suggest installing one of these programs:

- Antivir PersonalEdition Classic

- avast! 4 Home Edition << i use this one

It is strongly recommended that you run only one antivirus program at a time. Having more than one antivirus program active in memory uses additional resources and can result in program conflicts and false virus alerts. If you choose to install more than one antivirus program on your computer, then only one of them should be active in memory at a time.

Be aware that without functional antivirus program and without resident protection your computer will get reinfected very soon , therefor please make sure that you either update NOD32, or uninstall it and download one of the above programs before you proceed with the steps below.
——————

Please follow the steps below exactly in the order they are written:

You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a NotePad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.

Next, please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  • Choose your usual account.
Once in Safe Mode, double-click on SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and press "Enter" to delete infected files.

You will be prompted : "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove the Desktop background and clean registry keys associated with the infection.

The tool will now check if wininet.dll is infected. You may be prompted to replace the infected file (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool may need to restart your computer to finish the cleaning process; if it doesn't, please restart it into Normal Windows.
A text file will appear onscreen, with results from the cleaning process; please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.
The report can also be found at the root of the system drive, usually at C:\rapport.txt

Warning : running option #2 on a non infected computer will remove your Desktop background.

Post back with SmitfraudFix report, also run new scan with dss and post the contents of main.txt

I see that you choose to install AntiVir PersonalEdition Classic, but i also see these antivirus programs also installed in the computer NOD32 and Norman. Running more antivirus programs on a system is not good, so lets first deal with the multiple antivirus programs.

Since you are not able to update NOD32 and i guess the same goes for Norman, then i suggest uninstalling those programs.

Please go to Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and remove the following (if present):

NOD32 antivirus systeem
Norman Virus Control

After that reboot. Run new scan with HijackThis and post the log here.

If there is something you don't understand please do not hesitate to ask me before proceeding. :)

Hello :)

1. Download combofix from one of these links:
Link1
Link2
2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
3. When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log in your next reply and include new HijackThis log.

Note:
Do not mouseclick combofix's window whilst it's running. That may cause it to stall.

Also, after running combofix do this:
Open HijackThis, click Config, click Misc Tools
Click "Open Uninstall Manager"
Click "Save List" (generates uninstall_list.txt)
Click Save, copy and paste the results in your next post.
and post the uninstall list too.
Regards,
