This is my HijackThis log. Any help would be appreciated
Hello weazel357 and welcome back to the TomCoyote Forums

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your problem. Now please try and give me an idea as to what brings you to post a HijackThis log in the Malware Forum.

Thanks,

Trevuren
I'm having general problems with my computer being slow, too many things running on startup, spyware/adware, possible viruses, etc.
I notice from the log that there are many different Anti-Virus programs running with Auto-protect enabled. Never install more than one Antivirus and Firewall! Rather than giving you extra protection, it will decrease the reliability of it seriously!
The reason for this is that if both products have their automatic (Real-Time) protection switched on, your system may lock up due to both software products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
Also because more than one Antivirus and Firewall installed are not compatible with each other, it can cause system performance problems and a serious system slowdown.

So you have to make a decision here and keep the Antivirus you prefer and uninstall the other one.

While you are at it, uninstall Viewpoint

Then reboot after uninstalling and post a new HJT log.

Trevuren

Here is my new Log.
Other than a few minor pieces of undesirebale entries, nothing really stick out as being really bad here. We will run a few scans and see what turns up:

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky Online Virus Scanner (Use Internet Explorer as your Browser)

Note: If you have used this particular scanner before, you MAY HAVE YO UNINSTALL the program through Add/Remove Programs before downloading the new ActiveX component

Next Click on Free Virus Scanner, then Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    Standard
    • Scan Options:
    Scan Archives
    Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
  • This will program will start and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    • Now click on the Save as Text button:
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information into your next post.

Note for Internet Explorer 7 users: If at any time you have trouble with the accept button of the licence, click on the Zoom tool located at the right bottom of the IE window and set the zoom to 75 %. Once the license accepted, reset to 100%.

Regards

Trevuren
