Hello infotechslave and welcome to the TomCoyote Forums

My name is Trevuren and I will be helping you with your problem.

A. I need to get you to move HijackThis to a folder of its own so that nothing gets deleted by mistake

1. Right click in an empty space on your desktop.

2. From the Menu, click New, then Folder and a folder will appear on your desktop.

3. Name the folder HJT

4. Cut/Paste your current copy of HijackThis.exe from C:\Documents and Settings\Lyndell & Carey\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5\OO83VZIJ\HijackThis[1].exe into the new Folder on your desktop that was just created.

B. I notice from the log that there are running more than one different Anti-Virus programs with Auto-protect enabled. AVG and Norton. Never install more than one Antivirus and Firewall! Rather than giving you extra protection, it will decrease the reliability of it seriously!
The reason for this is that if both products have their automatic (Real-Time) protection switched on, your system may lock up due to both software products attempting to access the same file at the same time.
Also because more than one Antivirus and Firewall installed are not compatible with each other, it can cause system performance problems and a serious system slowdown.

So you have to make a decision here and keep the Antivirus you prefer and uninstall the other one.
Then reboot after uninstalling.

C. Now, please run HijackThis again, scan and produce a log and post it in your reply.

Regards,

Trevuren
