Howdy kbd127, Welcome to Tom Coyote. I don't see anything of infection here. You do have Viewpoint, which most often is installed without the user's knowledge or consent and is considered unnecessary. Some anti-malware scans have started to identify it as well. You can remove that by uninstalling all Viewpoint items listed in your Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. I do see it looks like something is keeping Norton from live updating successfully here - perhaps being blocked by a firewall or other protective software there. What issues are you having that you feel are infection related?

Thank you for your response. My computer seems to be running slower. For instance, when I maximize a screen, it takes does not instantly maximize. Thanks for the advice on viewpoint. It has become a nuisance and I plan to remove it.

Do you know what is stopping Norton's Live Update from completing successfully? Those overlapping running processes are keep things busy there along with any normal functions.

As we are discussing slowness, be sure temp storage is cleaned out. Too assist with this if needed, Go Here and download ATF cleaner. Click on the downloaded file to run it, and select "Select All", then click Empty Selected (and close ATF).

If you have them, also click on Firefox/Opera at the top and repeat the steps (and close ATF). Firefox/Opera will need to be closed first for the cleaning to be effective.

I don't know what would be stopping Norton's Live Update. I have since completed an update, with no problems that I am aware of. Would it be helpful if I ran Hijackthis again?

Since we have this opportunity let's take a different look as well. Go Here and download Silent Runners to your desktop. Run it, and post back here the log it creates. If your AV queries the script, allow it to run. It's not malicious. It will create a file named Startup Programs, and will notify when the scan is complete. Copy the log from the Startup Programs file back here, along with a new HijackThis scan please. You can use separate posts here if needed.

Nothing amiss here either, and I see the Norton update looks to have corrected. Did clearing temp storage with ATF Cleaner help? Unless you are getting scan verifications of infection all we can say here is that the slowness is not malware related. If it continues you might consider posting a new request for ideas on that at the TC Other Computer Problems forum.
