hi Amebeo, please look in add/remove programs and uninstall anything like: NewDot net or NewDot net domains —————————– after uninstalling, reboot computer, rescan with hjt and post a new hjt log. shelf life

I'm sorry. I'm not sure what you mean by "see this". Is it on the HJT log, cause if it is I do not. If you mean on the PC I am on my own PC now I'll have to go back over to Bill's to check.

I disablesd some things in mscofig trying to optimize performance. New dot for one cause of an annoying error message, I think his resourse hogg of a screensaver, and maybe a few other things, but I would not have disabled it if I wasn't sure it was ok.

As far as Malware anything and everything is possible on his PC. I scan every time I go over with nortons (wich rarely finds anything) and with add adware (wich almost always finds several things). I scaned with something from PC Pitstop (I'm sorry I do not recal what) and it found several other things, but I'm not sure it removed them.

So is his HJT log ok then? I'll run a few extra scans like panda scan or something next time I go over. Just kind of a pain cause it takes so long cause his PC is so slow. Thanks for your time and help if there is anything else you recommend for me to do let me know. If not I apreciate the help and your time.
