This is my first post, I hope I am doing it correctly.
I did one before this one but lost in when I previewed it so I won't preview this one.
I hope it is not posting twice.
I get a blank "cetihpz error html" screen each time I boot and it stays.
Here is my "highjackthis" log.
Hope someone can help me.
I am not new to computers, (30 years programming with my own company, programs to the FBI, Army, etc. BUT I don't have much experience with this type of problem)
Thanks in advance.
Joeld

Howdy joeld,

Welcome to Tom Coyote. That looks like a reference to an HP printer protocol. I actually don't see the place this would normally show in HijackThis, but I also see you have startups disabled in msconfig here. Have you made any changes using HijackThis as well recently? Let's just take a look at both those areas, as well as others for now.

Before you make any other changes, download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop. Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges.

1. Close all applications and windows.
2. Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
3. When the scan is complete, it will create two text files - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt<-this one will be minimized on your Taskbar.
4. Copy/paste both logs back here please (they will also be located at C:\Deckard\System Scanner).

Make sure you notice the extra.txt second log that will show as minimized on your Task Bar, "Maximize" that and be sure to paste those contents here as well.
