You are using THREE Anti-Virus programs (AVG, Avast! and Norton) :o, and that is not a good idea. You should only be using one Anti-Virus program. Multiple Anti-Virus programs will cause serious problems to your computer. Please un-install either AVG, Avast! or Norton via Add/Remove programs and keep only one.

Do that, and then post a new HijackThis log. We can see what's left after that. :)

I need to see another log from HijackThis.
  • Run Hijackthis.
  • Click on Open the Misc Tools section.
  • Next click on Open uninstall manager.
  • Press the Save list button.
  • Save the file to your desktop, with the default name of uninstall_list
  • Copy & Paste the entire contents of that file in your in your next post.

Hi tbrewer,

Click Start > Run > type in appwiz.cpl and hit enter. From the list uninstall the following, if present:

J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0
J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 11

Apart from that, everything looks good. Any problems?

Thanks, removed those two from the list. no problems, just making sure. This computer has completely crashed on me twice in the past, and now I seem to be addicted to nipping virus', etc. in the bud. Thanks again
