I finnally was able to get my infected laptop to let me do something, So, I downloaded and copied the hijackthis file,,,, v .Now, I just went to copy it here and it just made a v, and will not let me use the backbutton. I'll try to go back into hijackthis and bring it back here if this thread is still here. vv,,nope, I try to use ctrl v to paste it here and you see it just types v v How can I copy and paste the scan if it just comes up v ?
When you run HJT scan, when it finishes it should open Notepad with the log there. Be sure to select Do a scan and save the log when running. Then you should be able to use in Notepad: Edit> Select All> Edit Copy> Edit Paste>

I bought Defender Pro 5 in 1 a few weeks ago. it told me to remove all antispy, that;s why there is none. In the beginning of the winantispyware attack, everything I tried to type would get unwritten real fast. it used to jump me back to homepage from anywhere i tried to go it used to , when i could finnally access control panel, it would flicker back and forth between control panel and my computer then end up showing tesktop icons. Peres,,woops, no back button,, Presently I still have no use of the back button, and when first starting the computer, it makes a loud fast beeping sound until i hit the down arrow, then i can type in my password to open the computer. Because the defender pro disk could never get rid of everything, I know that winantispyware still has it's wily little fingers burried in to other places that can not be removed; just waiting to come back. When I was running that 5 in 1 disc, it would show like doubles of the places with the winantispyware infection, and only one of each could be removed, I still have only downloaded 40% of that link you just offered to me. it's still downloading.
yeah poor poor me , i went back to dialup trying to save money for our refinance. My son was working at pizza hut for a while and volenteered to buy us tickets for the Austin City Limits folk music festival this September. I could really use that break. I was checkin out the people playing there, 150 bands, the top one VB,whoops, no back button, Bob Dylan, I was checking out Dylan stuff, and notices Micky Jones used to play drums for Dylan many years ago. Micky is that biker lookin big dood with the ling red beard, seen on that certs breath mint commerical on a bus, and an old lady says, ive been enjoying your breath sence 68th street. I searched micky jones and saw a lot of cool stuff to remember. Just thought Id throw in some conversation while waiting.
I finished rnning the antispy you gave me and ran hijackthis again,

,,,,But my back button still doesnt work??
Important: Do this before any fix.

Please put your HijackThis in it's own folder, (I create a new folder in C:\ named HJT).
You can do a Right Click on any open area on the desktop, New> Folder, then rename the folder HJT.

Go to where your HijackThis is and Right Click on HijackThis.exe, select Cut, then open the new folder you just created (HJT) Right Click in the folder and select paste.

The reason we do this is Hijackthis creates backup files just in case you'd need to restore one and we'll be cleaning out the temp files.

After the above:

Please do not delete anything unless instructed to.

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

Are you talking about the Browser Back Button?
