c:\rapport.txt

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

whatever. I did because your instructions TELL ME TO POST NEW TOPIC. To date I have yet to receive help from you and your people… I'll find another forum to help me. Thanks for nothing, you are great.
You know… I follow your instructions to copy and paste logs as a NEW TOPIC. It tells me in plain english (please post a new topic, see http://forums.tomcoyote.org/How_Remove_Spy…dr_t77859.html). And those logs contain hyperlinks that I don't create, they are just there… Am I supposed to go through and delete these links? I can't see them in notepad you know. I would have to copy and paste into an application that shows hyperlinks, delete them all, and paste them into your forum.

If you tell me EACTLY what I did to deserve a deletion, I would not do it… I admit it… I don't know much about this stuff, which is why I signed up with my real name. As I review some of these other posts I have to ask what makes mine different. The only difference is that I actually go through the self help instructions first. Half of these posts don't even do that, they just say help, or what is wrong with my computer, or hello with a HJT log. They don't even attempt to do the self help first. I though that by doing the self help first, I would get priority over those that don't do the self help first. I get deleted…

If you tell me what I did wrong I will correct it. I like this forum. TomCoyote is the man. I've used your self help fixes at least three times over the past three years and this is the first sequence I needed help with. I was even starting to feel guilty for not making a donation (and I do donate, I'm not just blowing smoke).

It's confusing to say the least, but as you will see by reviewing your recommended link, I was doing it by the book (new topics and all)… See: http://forums.tomcoyote.org/How_Remove_Spy…ldr_t77859.html.

Anyway, thanks for the offer to continue to help. God knows I need it. My designers will be here Modnay at 9am so I have 17 hours to make sure my Content Manager's computer is functioning properly.

Once you've created a new topic, you stay in that topic only. We reply to that topic by using the Add/Reply Button not the New Topic button. You just replied here like you're suppose to by using the Add Reply Button. I need you to ran hijackthis and save the scan. It should open notepad with the sacnned files. Make sure word wrap is unchecked in notepad. Now just copy / paste the scan here in this topic by using the Add/Reply Button.
LAST requested log files AFTER completing self help entitled: http://forums.tomcoyote.org/How_Remove_Spy…t77859.html….. I saved it before I posted my last topic on 062407 at 1am-ish…

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
When I click none of the above, HJT goes right into a scan. Id does not allow me to select "Do a System Scan Only" as you ask. When I click "Do a System Scan Only", the "click none of the above" instruction never comes up. I cannot select both…

When I click "Do a System Scan Only", the "click none of the above" instruction never comes up. I cannot select both…

When you use "Do a System Scan Only", it should scan and give you the option to put a check by the ones we want to fix.

If you have to do it the other way, just close the one that will be in NotePad and put checks by the ones we want to remove in the other window.
All steps complete…

I Deleted 8 zip folders titled: ZlobImageActiveXAccess, and 7 more with the same name and 1, 2, 3, 4, etc.. FROM C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Recovery.

I Deleted 1 iesbpl.dll FROM same location.

Ran ATF cleaner and rebooted. It took several minutes to boot to active desktop.

Everything seems to be running fine. Browsing through web pages is about 50% faster than before we downloaded spylocked 4.3 (our gal thought they were photos from one of our school accounts = lotsofphotos.com/(a bunch of symbols and numbers)…

If you don't use Trillian I suggest you uninstall it. It's not bad but if you don't use it, it isn't needed.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trillian_(instant_messenger)

You can remove any programs / Tools I had you install. Use Add/Remove Programs to remove if listed there otherwise just delete them and empty recycle bin.

Log looks good :D

You need to create a new Clean restore point.

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Check "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, Uncheck "Show hidden files and folders."
Check "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

If you dont have any programs like these, I would recommend that you get them.
Spywareblaster,
Spywareguard.

Also get a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

Only run one Anti-Virus and Firewall program.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Do not use Ad-aware if you have McAfee's VirusScan and AntiSpyware

Safe Surfing. :D

I would also suggest you read this:
So how did I get infected in the first place?
by Tony Klein
OK. I do use Trillian Pro V 3.1 everyday to communicate with business contacts, mostly using AOLIM and MSN messenger. There are two that use ICQ and my daughter just added me to her Yahoo messenger account… Is that bad? I went through system restore (off, reboot, on), then in my folder options I hid known file types, unchecked show hidden files / folders, and hid protected operating system files… Downloaded and installed spywareblaster and spywareguard (seperatley after rebooting). I use the latest 2007 Norton 360, and allow it's spyware protection to stay active. I use WINDOWS Firewall. Is that ok? Thanks for all your help and your up to the second support. It was a pleasure. By the way, I have two brand new dell XPS desktops coming in next week. Do you have any "must do" tips and advice for brand new computers? Again, many thanks. We'll be at 100% first thing in the morning thanks to you (we would have been one human down). I'm going to stop by PayPal now. Kelly Sovka dosports.us
