Hi Hatsuko,

As far as I can see the AWF has been cleared, and Sysclean found nothing, I'm at a bit of a loss to see what's causing the pop ups.

I'd like to run some more scans, but I'm also going to need to consult with my colleagues to see if I'm missing something.

Download Deckard's System Scanner (DSS) to your Desktop. (Note: You must be logged onto an account with administrator privileges).
  • Close all applications and windows.
  • Double-click on dss.exe to run it, and follow the prompts.
  • When the scan is complete, two text files will open - main.txt <- this one will be maximized and extra.txt<-this one will be minimized
  • Copy/Paste the contents of main.txt and extra.txt into your next post please.
  • Create a folder Silent Runners on your Desktop.
  • Download Silent Runners to the folder.
  • Double click Silent Runners.vbs to launch it.
  • Click No when prompted to skip supplementary searches.
  • A log is produced when its finished Startup Programs (COMPUTERNAME)******.txt (where ******* are date and time) located in your Silent Runners folder.
  • Click OK when the finish prompt appears.
  • Post me the log please.

Download AVG Anti-Rootkit
  • Follow the install directions.
  • Once AVG Anti-Rootkit is installed it will put an icon on your Desktop.
  • Double click it to launch the programme.
  • Click the Search for Rootkits button and allow the scan to complete.
  • If anything is found click the Save results to file button, and save the file to a location where you can find it.
  • DO NOT click the Remove selected items button until I've seen the log it may find legit items.
  • Post the log back here please.
Now can you send me the following logs please:
  • Deckards System Scanner logs (main.txt and extra.txt)
  • Silent Runners log
  • AVG Anti-Rootkit log

Please post each log separately to prevent them being cut off by the forum post size limiter.
Hi hatsuko,

Been looking over your logs again, my apologies, I missed some information from one of your earlier scans. (Thanks to Random/Random for pointing it out to me).

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive% (Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press Enter.
  • Choose your usual account.
Once in safe mode.
  • Open the extracted SDFix folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the cleanup process.
  • It will remove any Trojan Services and Registry Entries that it finds then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • When the PC restarts the Fixtool will run again and complete the removal process then display Finished, press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Once the desktop icons load the SDFix report will open on screen and also save into the SDFix folder as Report.txt
    (Report.txt will also be copied to Clipboard ready for posting back on the forum).
  • Finally paste me the contents of Report.txt along with a new HijackThis log please.

Hi hatsuko,

Did you see my last reply? I'll repeat it just in case you didn't.

Download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

Double click SDFix.exe and it will extract the files to %systemdrive% (Drive that contains the Windows Directory, typically C:\SDFix)

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, the Advanced Options Menu should appear;
