Hey there, I know others have had this same error message but I don't fell that I can do this on my own. SORRY!!!! Every time I start my pc or try to open any program I get multipul error messages that say for example- iexplore.exe Bad Image- The application or DLL C:\windows\system32\perfc000.dat is not a valid windows image please check against your installation diskette. I have ran Nortons AntiVirus, Spybot, Ad-aware, SmitfraudFix but they didn't help much. Smitfraud did help with my search problems I was having with yahoo search before I was getting an error 999 and with google search I would get a bunch of adware that appeard to be layered over my search results in big bold letters trying to get me to goto there web site. please help me with this problem. Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.
  • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you, combofix.txt.Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall
