[marcbgd]

Suddenly I started getting redirects every time I tried to open a link. I ran AVG and Adaware and have Spyware Guard and Blaster. None of them found anything. here is my file on hijackthis. Please help and give any advice you can. Thanks in advance.

* Please download FixwareOut from one of the following sites:
http://www.bleepingc.../Fixwareout.exe
http://downloads.sub.../Fixwareout.exe

Save it to your desktop and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts. If your firewall gives an alert, (because this tool will download an additional file from the internet), please don't let your firewall block it, but allow it instead.
Then you will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so. Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads please post the text that will open (report.txt) and a new Hijackthis log.

Your HijackThislog looks clean again.

Navigate to and delete next file:

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\kdobd.ren

As a sidenote, do you still have Norton/Symantec products installed? If not, then there's really no need to have the related LiveUpdate still present, being an extra resource hog.
In that case, uninstall LiveUpdate via software > add/remove programs.

Let me know in your next reply how things are now.

Thanks a lot for all your help. No, I removed the symantic, it really bogged down my computer. I sent the suspect file to virus total. Here are the results. I finally got it deleted. I am suprised that the kdobd.ren is not widely detected yet.
And some that are detecting it are detecting it as something which is not related at all. The only "correct" detection is from Bitdefender:

, because this is indeed a dns Hijacker you were dealing with.

Anyway, since you've uploaded it at Virustotal, the other Vendors will receive that sample as well and hopefully next update they should detect it.
