Over the past few weeks, I have noticed the computer getting slower in responses and the internet is even worse. I upgraded to a 'faster' internet - and now it's slower. I am particularly curious why there is a registry entry for an proxy and port. Nothing I've ever used or entered. Here is Hijack log - would appreciate any help!

I'm not seeing anything bad in your log.
You could uninstall one of the Anti-Virus programs you have running.

Grisoft\AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5
PCSecurityShield\ShieldAntivirus

Thanks for answering. What I am concerned about is that (since) I ran that log I had to restore several weeks back and my log looks totally different now! And I wouldn't say better. Can I post a new log for you to review?
Thanks - as I said before, this looks much different than the first one. I see some programs that are already uninstalled and I'm still curious where the Proxy Override is coming from. If I right click on a file and then move towards the bottom of those options the mouse stops on Send To… Sometimes it's several seconds before it will move again, sometimes it crashes the window I have open. Overall there's a longer delay occurring when PC is responding to anything. The internet slowed a little at a time for no apparent reason. I have gone through all the troubleshooting with that and nothing has had an effect. I also upgraded DSL to a little higher speed to see if it would have an affect - and it almost seemed slower. Connections, settings are all okay - AT&T has no clue (surprise). All of these problems just started about a month ago and it was a very gradual change.
Do you use this program?
C:\Program Files\IBM\Client Access\cwbsvstr.exe"

Part of IBM's iSeries (nee As/400) Client Access - communications suite that allows desktop, browser and wireless access to iSeries servers. Useful if you are going to access the iSeries through Windows Explorer to move files back and forth between Windows folders and iSeries folders. This is a tool that is only used by Client Access administrators (usually) so it is not required - a waste of resources

Use Add/Remove Programs and uninstall:
AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5

Lets try this.
1. Shutdown the pc.
2. Unplug the power and internet cable from the external modem and router if you have one.
Wait at least 5 minutes. The plug everything back in.
Reboot and see if that helped.

I have to do this once in awhile with my AT&T modem.
Ok - just so you know, that is the only spyware program I am running - PC Security Shield is virus only. I've done the reboot thing several times, but I'll try it again since there have been changes.

Ok - just so you know, that is the only spyware program I am running - PC Security Shield is virus only. I've done the reboot thing several times, but I'll try it again since there have been changes.

Go ahead and do the other then and leave AVG.
