Hi,
I understand that there are many similar posts in the forum, but I would be very thankful forany help you can provide.
I have the following problem with my computer
My desktop is colored in red. i constantly receive alert balloons stating that my system is infected and that i need to download an anti-virus/anti-spyware, IExplorer automatically opens page antispysolutions.com. The task manager is disabled. I do not want to reformat my computer if I can avoid it
I would very much appreciate any help

Hi, I see you posted your problem at other forums as well. This is really confusing and you are actually wasting our time with this. This because many helpers will now analyze your log while someone is already helping you. This is a waste of our time and because of this, other people who are already waiting a couple of days have to wait longer. Also, if you receive help from several different helpers - it will be very confusing for you and the helper since instructions may be different and we don't know what steps were performed, so logs won't make sense. So let us know where you want to proceed with your log. In case you already received a reply somewhere else, let us know as well so we can help someone else instead and close this thread. In case you want to proceed here, I suggest you post a note in the other forums you already received help so they can close that thread. Thanks.

Hi,

Please perform next steps in the right order..

First of all, First of all, you didn't unzip/extract hijackthis.. and it's still in the tempfolder.
So I strongly advise to unzip/extract hijackthis.zip.

Create a permanent folder and move hijackthis.exe into it. The reason is because hijackthis creates backups and when it's in your temp-folder it can be accidentally deleted.
How do you make a permanent folder:

Click My Computer, then C:\ and then on Program Files.
In the menu bar, File->New->Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis".
Now you have C:\Program Files\HijackThis. Put your HijackThis.exe there.

Then, * Please download the OTMoveIt by OldTimer.
  • Save it to your desktop.
  • Please double-click OTMoveIt.exe to run it.
  • Where it says: "Paste List of Files/Folders to be Moved", copy and paste next bold part into that Window:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\msorcl32.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\msdn_lib.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ppc1.dll


  • Then click the red Moveit! button below.
  • Close OTMoveIt
If a file or folder cannot be moved immediately you may be asked to reboot the machine to finish the move process. If you are asked to reboot the machine choose Yes.. Then it will reboot your computer.
Even though OTMoveIT didn't ask to reboot your computer - reboot anyway, this since moved files may still be in use.

Then, after reboot,

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.
Make sure your Internet Explorer is closed when you click Fix Checked!

* Download Combofix to your desktop.
Doubleclick combofix.exe
Follow the prompts.
Don't click on the window while the fix is running, because that will cause your system to hang.

When finished and after reboot (in case it asks to reboot), it should open a log, combofix.txt.
Post this log in your next reply together with a new hijackthislog.
Do NOT post the ComboFix-quarantined-files.txt - unless I ask you to.

Your HijackThislog doesn't really make sense since you saved the log before the Combofix step.

This will start ComboFix again. After reboot, (in case it asks to reboot), post the contents of Combofix.txt in your next reply together with a NEW HijackThislog, so rescan with HijackThis and save the log after you performed above steps with Combofix.

I changed the background in control panel and it seems that it works just fine Iexplorer works normally, to go to a certain page i had to refresh several times, now it opens normally Regards
