Hello people :wavey:

After searching for help in google i typed in perfc000.dat and get on this Forum.

My problem is similar to the problem of the member "1Techwreck" in this thread:
http://forums.tomcoyote.org/Help_Hijackthi….html&st=15

Today, when i started my computer, everytime i lunch a program or a file like Internet Explorer or an Image, my AntiVir Guard shows up about 15 messages.
It says that it has detected a Trojan Horse called TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen in C:\WINDOWS\system32\perfc000.dat and after i press "Deny process" –> OK, the message appears 15 times again until it stops.

And this procedure starts again and again after each lunch of a program or a file :o
Like the member "1Techwreck", i can't delete this file :rant2:
I already followed this step that was advised by the member MrCharlie:

Download and unzip the KillBox to a folder.

Now…
Open up the KillBox
Select the option "Delete on reboot".
Click the button: All Files <—important
Now it should flash green

Now copy the next part in blue: (hightlight them > right click and choose copy)
(add C:\hnkkcpkk.bat if needed)

C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\hmpih.sys
C:\WINNT\system32\drivers\efd.sys

Open 'file' in the KillBox menu on top and choose Paste from clipboard

Then press the button that looks like a red circle with a white X in it.
Killbox will tell you that all listed files will be removed on next reboot and asks if you would like to Reboot now, click YES
If you don't get that message, reboot manually.

Your computer must reboot now.

The files actually won't be deleted but moved to a folder called !KillBox in "C". We can always restore or delete them later.

After the reboot take a look at a HJT log and see if….
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: C:\WINNT\system32\perfc000.dat

Is still there…if it is run HJT again and fix it reboot and post a fresh HJT log, MrC

After the reboot my AntiVir Guard showed up again 15 times with the Trojan…, the file wasn't fixed
In contrast to "1Techwreck" problems, i have only this file that makes problems, all other files should be fine :P

I hope you can somehow help me out of this problem… Thx for each post and help!

Hello and Welcome to the forum.

No two infections are the same. You can do more harm then good.

I suggest you do this:

Please uninstall Bearshare via Add/Remove Programs, Unless it's the paid for version.
Here is the list on 'good and bad'P2P programs.
http://p2p.malwareremoval.com/

1. launch Notepad (Start>All Programs>Accessories), and copy/paste all the Quoted REGEDIT below to it. Don't forget to include REGEDIT4.
Save in: Desktop
File Name: fixme.reg
Save as Type: All files
Click: Save

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows]
"AppInit_DLLs"=""

2. Save this text as fixme.reg. Make sure the "Save as type:" is "All Files (*.*)" and save it to your desktop. Include the word REGEDIT4

3. Double-click on fixme.reg. When it asks you to merge the information to the registry click Yes.

4.Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new log file into this thread.
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
First of all THANK you very much for your help :D
This is a very nice and helpful Forum and you staff members are making a good job, and above all it's volunteer. Thanks, that's very nice of you helping people

Now back to the Trojan: I did all steps that you have ordered and rebootet my computer…
But without succses, the trojan behave the same way as it always used to do:

After Windows has started, AntiVir reports the usual messages that it has detected the Trojan…., and AntiVir first stops to reporting after i pressed the 16th time the OK Button. And as i already described, in almost each action i make such as lunch the IE or shuting down the computer, AntiVir shows up again exactly 16 times the same messages… And the action, for example starting the IE, will be performed first after i pressed all the 16 messages. Then the IE shows finally up. And this problem happens to every almost every new action that i start :wall:

PS: 2 Days ago i formated my computer

Ok now here is the LOG, this time there are some more running process, because after the reboot ai didn't shut them this time:

Thanks for your help :weee:

that was a flash reply :o

Yes the registry fix worked correctly without any errors, maby i will try it again

Yes, try it again please
Download ComboFix from Here or Here to your Desktop.
  • Double click combofix.exe and follow the prompts.
  • When finished, it shall produce a log for you. Post that log and a HiJackthis log in your next reply
Note: Do not mouseclick combofix's window while its running. That may cause it to stall
Give it a little more time. If still doesn't run, shutdown the pc and unplug the internet connection, reboot and try the combofix scan.
i restarted combofix now and will run it 10 min Edit: now there is just a blue screen, PLEASE WAIT disappeared now.. It looks like the program is still running, because the trojan alert is still appearing Edit2: Ok its scanning now :P
Now, while scanning, the trojan appears each second… I don't think the scan will be finished in an hour if this stupid trojan doesn't stop to appear :o
