Hi,SickPCand welcome to Tom Coyote forums

I am currently looking over your log. As I am an Undergraduate, everything that I post to you must be checked by an Admin or Moderator. Thus, there may be a tiny bit of a delay between posts, but it shouldn't be too long. I will post back shortly with a potential fix.

Thanks for your patience!

Hi SickPC

I believe we have some files hiding from us, I'm going to flush them out.

Please go to the C:\Program Files\HijackThis folder. Right click on the HijackThis.exe file and select "Rename". Rename it removal.exe,

Then run HijackThis again and post a new log please.

Thanks dan

Hi,SickPC

Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

Please post vundofix.txt and a new HJT log in your next post.
Thanks dan

Hi SickPC

Please submit these files to upload malware http://www.uploadmalware.com
You can give the link back to this thread, just locate them via the browse button follow the following paths and submit

C:\WINDOWS\system32\awtutqo.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\awvtu.dll
______________________

Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it again.
Right Click inside the listbox (white box) and click add more files
Copy&Paste the entries below into the open boxes

C:\WINDOWS\system32\awtutqo.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\awvtu.dll

Click Add Files and Click Close Window
Click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.

In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, allow the computer to reboot and VundoFix to load.

Just add the very same files as before and Click Remove Vundo.

Please include new HJT log, AVG Anti-Spyware log and kaspersky log
in your next post
Thanks dan

These files below were added to http://www.uploadmalware.com.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\awtutqo.dll
C:\WINDOWS\system32\awvtu.dll

Running VundoFix.exe again these files already showed up in the white box. Nevertheless per your instruction I added them as files and it still could not remove them from the system even after the reboot. Should I manually delete these?

Here is the new HJT log and the VundoFix log. I don't know what the AVG Anti-Spyware log and kaspersky log is.

Hi SickPC

You have a brand new variant of a difficult infection. With your help, we can analyze it more thoroughly.

I would like some people to take a look at some files, so the anti-malware venders can analyze them and update their defs to deal with them. We may have a new variant of the Infection.
Upload this file .. to uploadmalware Here

Put in topic title "Request by dan12"
Put in body of messege the link to our thread here.
then press the browse button and then navigate and select the files,
press Post to upload the files

C:\WINDOWS\system32\jvfvyrvn.dll

Download Process Explorer from here:
http://www.microsoft...ssExplorer.mspx
Unzip it to your desktop or other convenient location, then double click Procexp.exe to open it.
You will see Find as one of the menu items at the top. Click on it.
A little pulldown will say "Find Handle or DLL" . Click on that as well.
When the Search window pops up, type in awvtu.dll and click Search.
Make a list of the processes that show in the window.

Repeat the procedure, this time typing in awtutgo.dll and clicking Search.
Again make a list of processes that show up for that file.

Please paste both process lists back here in your reply.
Thanks dan

In post #10 I've done all the steps and there looks to be still an infection in the computer. I went to malware to upload the C:\WINDOWS\system32\jvfvyrvn.dll file but it wasn't there. Also these 2 files were not there either: awvtu.dll awtutgo.dll. I think the process beforehand may have removed or quarantined them. Here is the new HJT log, AVG and Kaspersky log along. I also updated Java.
