Remove Ddayv.dll
14 min read
Please start by downloading VirtumondoBegone to your desktop.
- Reboot your computer into Safemode
- Go to START/ SHUT OF YOUR COMPUTER/ RESTART
- As the computer starts to boot-up, Tap the F8 KEY somewhat rapidly,
this will bring up a menu. - Use the UP AND DOWN ARROW KEYS to scroll up to SAFEMODE
- Then press the ENTER KEY ON YOUR KEYBOARD
- Doubleclick on VirtumundoBeGone.exe and follow the instructions.
- Do not worry if you see a BLUE SCREEN "Fatal Error" Message, it is normal and expected.
- When it has finished, reboot and post the log that is created on your desktop called VBG.TXT in your next reply.
Let me see the report along with a New HJT log
OK, computer will not start in safe Mode. When trying to load I get a monitor level message "Frequency out of range". I let the computer run for a while after receiving the error but the screen never comes back on. I manually shut off and turned the monitor back on only to receive the same message. I also tried a different brand monitor which gave the same error mesage. After hard drive activity had been stopped for approximately 15 minutes I gave up and rebooted the computer.
You can run VirtumundoBeGone in normal windows , then run this other version in Normal windows also.
Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop
- Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
- Click the Scan for Vundo button.
- Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
- You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
- Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
- When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
- Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log in a reply to this thread.
If there is a file VundoFix doesn't find we need it submitted. Please submit
the files to upload malware http://www.uploadmalware.com
Let me see both reports and a New HJT log

How are things running now??
I cant see where you have HJT installed , make sure its in its own folder.
Hijackthis 1.99.1
Its important that Hijackthis is installed in its own permanent folder for backup purposes.
- Go to where you currently have HJT installed and delete the whole folder.
- Use the link above or the links in my signature to download HJT 1.99.1 setup to your desktop
- Double Click on the Setup icon and by defaut it will unzip to C:\Program Files\Hijackthis
Your log looks fine , what can you tell me about this

How are things running now??
http://companyweb = Internal Company Web Site hosted by our server
Things seem to be running fine.
Even though your log looks fine I am concerned about Vundo still being present, do this.
I cant see where you have HJT installed , make sure its in its own folder…
…After you install it, right click on the HJT icon ( looks like a red stick of dynamite with a plunger ) and rename it to Scanner.exe and post a new log please.
HJT this is installed at C:\HijackThis

Malware Complaints
Are you mad ? I mean really mad, seething mad, so mad your ready to spit, mad that you have taken your hard earned dollars to buy a computer only to have some Miscredents, Dirt Bags and Cyber Criminals install a malicious program on your computer without your knowledge or consent. You can post your complaint at the above site. If you live in the U.S.A. you can also report your grievance to your State Attorney Generals Office and the Federal Trade Commission's Bureau of Consumer Protection.
How did I get infected in the first place ? Read these links and find out how to prevent getting infected again.
- Tutorial for System Restore <– Do this first to prevent yourself from being reinfected.
- Tom Coyote
- TonyKlein CastleCops
- Grinler BleepingComputer
- Geeks To Go
- Dslreports
Here are some free programs to install, don't leave home without them
- Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4
Check for Updates/ Immunize and run a Full System Scan on a regular basis.
- Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06
Check for Updates and run a Full System Scan on a regular basis.
- Spyware Blaster It will prevent most spyware from ever being installed.
- Spyware Guard It offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.
- Win Patrol This program will warn you when any changes are being made to your system and give you the option to deny the change.
- IE-Spyad
IE-Spyad places over 4000 web sites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
- Firefox 2.0 It has more features and is a lot more secure than IE. It is a very easy and painless download and install, it will no way interfere with IE, you can use them both.
- Zone Alarm Here is a free Firewall from Zone Labs, I wouldn't access the internet without it.
It was pointed out that there still may be bad files from the Vundo infection still lurking on your system.
Please do this.
1. Please download The Avenger by Swandog46 to your Desktop.
- Click on Avenger.zip to open the file
- Extract avenger.exe to your desktop
Files to Delete: C:\windows\system32\uvnx.exe C:\windows\9129837.exe C:\windows\retadpu2000340.exe Folders to delete: C:\Program Files\Ipwindows
Note: the above code was created specifically for this user. If you are not this user, do NOT follow these directions as they could damage the workings of your system.
3. Now, start The Avenger program by clicking on its icon on your desktop.
- Under "Script file to execute" choose "Input Script Manually".
- Now click on the Magnifying Glass icon which will open a new window titled "View/edit script"
- Paste the text copied to clipboard into this window by pressing (Ctrl+V).
- Click Done
- Now click on the Green Light to begin execution of the script
- Answer "Yes" twice when prompted.
- It will Restart your computer. ( In cases where the code to execute contains "Drivers to Unload", The Avenger will actually restart your system twice.)
- On reboot, it will briefly open a black command window on your desktop, this is normal.
- After the restart, it creates a log file that should open with the results of Avenger’s actions. This log file will be located at C:\avenger.txt
- The Avenger will also have backed up all the files, etc., that you asked it to delete, and will have zipped them and moved the zip archives to C:\avenger\backup.zip.
Now lets run this scan to make sure there is no Rootkit present.
* Click here to download AVG Anti Rootkit and save it to your desktop.
- Double-click on the AVG_AntiRootkit_1.0.0.13.exe file to run it.
- Click "I Agree" to agree to the EULA.
- By default it will install to "G:\Program Files\GRISOFT\AVG Anti-Rootkit Beta".
- Click "Next" to begin the installation then click "Install".
- It will then ask you to reboot now to finish the installation.
- Click "Finish" and your computer will reboot.
- After it reboots, double-click on the AVG Anti-Rootkit Beta shortcut that is now on your desktop.
- Click on the "Perform in-depth search" button to begin the scan.
- The scan will take a while so be patient and let it complete.
- When the scan is finished, click the "Save result to file" button.
- Save the scan results to your desktop then come back here to copy and paste the results in your next reply to this thread.
Let me see the AVG Rootkit report and a new HJT log please.
