I can see no evidence of Anti-virus software or firewall installed on your system.
How long has this system been without this protection, and has it been connected to the internet during this time ?

I ask this question because without this protection there is a high possibility your system may be severely compromised, especially if the system has been connected to the internet.

If you wish to continue with the fix please do the following:

i also see you have a LOP infection that often comes together with Messenger Plus. To remove it we will try the simple way first.

1. Go to Add/Remove programs. Double click on "Messenger Plus!" (or click on Remove)

2. The "Messenger Plus! - Setup" is now displayed. Click on the Uninstall button. Note: options displayed on the first screen are not related to the sponsor program.

3. The sponsor screen is now displayed (if you don't see it, search for it in your Task Bar). To prove that someone is currently reading the screen, you have to type the code that is displayed. Once you enter the code, press Uninstall.

4. If you entered the code properly, the program will ask you to confirm that you want to uninstall. You must answer "Yes" to this question, else, you won't have another chance of uninstalling.

5. To complete the uninstallation, follow the instructions that are displayed (the first one is to close all your Internet Explorer windows, that's very important). When everything is complete, restart your computer and, hopefully voila one nasty infection is gone.

Also remove the following Program through Add/remove and reboot:
Bearshare

See here for an analysis of Bearshare. P2P filesahring is one of the easiest ways to get your system infected, as a majority of the files one downloads are from un-trusted sources. This is also true for utorrent, please be very cautious what you download, and what trackers you choose to use.
———————————–

After the restart - show hidden files:
Reconfigure Windows XP to show hidden files:
Double-click the My Computer icon on the Windows desktop.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options. Select the View Tab.

Under the Hidden files and folders heading select "Show hidden files and folders".
Uncheck the "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)" option.
Uncheck the "Hide file extensions for known file types" option.
Click Yes to confirm. Click OK.

Then using windows explorer navigate to the following locations, and remove the highlighted folders:
E:\Documnets and Settings\Local Settings\Application Data\Waiter >> A folder beginning with 'Waiter'
E:\Program Files\Bearshare

While Windows XP SP2 comes with its own simple firewall, this will only protect you from incoming packets, a software firewall will help you control what programs have access from your system, and therefore help stop your system becoming compromised. The following two links are for free products, which I use myself, and are highly respected in their ability to protect your system. Please choose one firewall download the setup file to your desktop, and install the firewall in the usual manner, following any directions it gives you.

Firewalls
Comodo Free firewall
http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/
Sunbelt Kerio free firewall
http://www.sunbelt-software.com/Kerio.cfm

Then download the thirty day free trial of Kaspersky Anti-Virus from one of the locations here:
http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/trials?chapter=186685140
Download the manual for the program from one of the locations here:
http://www.kaspersky.co.uk/docs?downlink=187012362

* Read the manual first!
* Install the program.
* Update it. (You may have to reboot during these steps)
* Run a full scan and allow KAV to delete everything it finds.

To run and full scan and save a report do the following:

* Double click on the Kaspersky Antivirus Icon in your system tray
* Click on Scan located at the left hand side of Kaspersky's GUI
* Click on My Computer underneath scan.
* Click on the Scan button on the right hand side.
* Kaspersky will now scan your whole system, please do not operate your PC while it is scanning (this make take some time)
* When the scan has finished click on the Save as.. button at the bottom of the GUI.
* Choose a location to save the file, perhaps your desktop, and give it a name you will recognise (this will create a text file of the log report).
* Navigate to the location you saved the file, and double click on the previously saved text file.
* Highlight the whole of the text in the file, and copy/paste that into this thread as a post (if it takes several posts that is fine)

Post the Kaspersky report and a new HijackThis log please
