Hello!
I go by FencerGirl. I would be glad to take a look at your log and help you with solving any malware problems. HijackThis logs can take a while to research.

Please be patient and I'd be grateful if you would note the following:
  • I will working be on your Malware issues, this may or may not, solve other issues you have with your machine.
  • The fixes are specific to your problem and should only be used for this issue on this machine.
  • Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine appears to be clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear.
  • It's often worth reading through these instructions and printing them for ease of reference.
  • If you don't know or understand something, please don't hesitate to say or ask!! It's better to be sure and safe than sorry.
  • Finally, please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.

It may take me a while to reply to you as all of my fixes are being checked by experts to ensure that you are getting a good fix. And remember, like you I have a real life, so I may not be at my computer when you are!

FencerGirl
Hi pap1000,
You appear to have a Vundo infection along with a couple of questionable programs on your computer. Please follow the steps below and we'll see what we can do.

Step 1: Move HijackThis and Rename It.
Hijack This works best when it lives in its own dedicated folder. It's currently running from your desktop folder, which means that any back ups it creates are in danger of being deleted.
Please browse to:
C:\Documents and Settings\Lindsey\Desktop\HijackThis.exe

Right click on HijackThis.exe and select Copy.
Now, browse to:
C:\Program Files and create a folder called Hijack This by right clicking and selecting New >> Folder
Open your new folder named Hijack This. Right click in the Hijack This folder and select Paste.
Please run HijackThis from this location from now on.

Next, rename HijackThis.exe
  • Right click on the HijackThis icon.
    [external image: Posted Image]
  • Select Rename.
    [external image: Posted Image]
  • Now type the following scanner.exe note: make sure to put period before .exe when typing.
hit the enter key on keyboard.
    [external image: Posted Image]
Step 2: Uninstall Bad Programs.
You have two programs on your computer that are widely regarded as malware. Some parasites can be easily and effectively removed from the Add/Remove Programs applet in the Windows Control Panel.
Please go to Start >> Control Panel >> Add/Remove Programs and remove any programs that have the following in their names:
Zango
WinAntiVirusPro

Step 3: Take a Stab at Vundo.
Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
  • Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
  • Click the Scan for Vundo button.
  • Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
  • You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
  • Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
  • When completed, it will prompt that it will reboot your computer, click OK.
  • VundoFix will create a file called C:\vundofix.txt.
Note: It is possible that VundoFix encountered a file it could not remove.
In this case, VundoFix will run on reboot, simply follow the above instructions starting from "Click the Scan for Vundo button." when VundoFix appears at reboot.

After you have completed all of the above steps, please post back with the contents of vundofix.txt and a new HijackThis log (remember, we renamed HijackThis to scanner.exe).

Thanks,
FencerGirl
Hi pap1000, I was just wondering how the fix was going. If you feel you no longer need my help, please let me know so your thread can be closed. Thanks! FencerGirl
