I have a spyware called outerinfo, and probably some others on my computer and I tried using Ad-Aware and Spybot scans but I don't think its doing anything. I followed the instructions given by Noviciate in this thread, but when I clicked save list under Open Uninstall Manager, HJT just closes so I don't know what's going on.

Here's the HJT log though. I don't know if I should take the same actions as the person in the other thread, so I hope someone can help me here.

A problem I'm having now is that the computer is booting up really slowly. It's taking about five minutes for everything to load up.

Hi

We can disable AVG anti-spyware guard in order to get more speed:

Please click Start > Run and type in: services.msc
Click OK
In the Services window find: AVG Anti-Spyware Guard
Select/highlight and right click the entry, and choose: Properties
On the General tab, under Service Status click the Stop button
Beside: Startup Type, in the drop menu, select: Disabled
Click Apply, then OK

Rename HijackThis.exe to scanner.exe and post back a fresh HijackThis log

Also, does Norton have also antivirus?

When you say rename HijackThis.exe to scanner.exe, do you mean to rename the actual program or do I rename it somewhere else. And yes, Norton also has antivirus.

Hi I mean this: Rename D:\Program Files\Hijackthis\HijackThis.exe to D:\Program Files\Hijackthis\scanner.exe If Norton and AVG are both up-to-date, please then uninstall AVG :)

Ok, thanks I'll do that right away. May I ask what is the reason to rename HJT to scanner though? Just curious.

Hi Vundo hides its entries from HijackThis if process named HijackThis.exe is running; that's why HjT exe needs to be renamed :) Vundo/Virtumonde entries for AVG a-s log: D:\WINDOWS\system32\nnnopnk.dll -> Adware.Virtumonde : Cleaned with backup (quarantined). D:\WINDOWS\system32\ssqpppm.dll -> Adware.Virtumonde : Cleaned with backup (quarantined).

Due to the lack of feedback this Topic is closed. If you need help please start a new thread and post a new HJT log
