Hi,

in the past couple of days something is constantly hijacking my browser. I updated my Adaware and Spybot, Adaware found something not so harmful, Spybot found a couple of hijackers and I fixed it (I dont remember the names of them all, but Im sure one was NewDotNet or something alike).
That didnt solve the problem cause my browser is still being hijacked.

So, I kindly ask anyone that can help me to spare a little time, this is my hijack log. Thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome to the forums

Save in: Desktop
File Name: fixme.reg
Save as Type: All files
Click: Save

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\Notify\ksuwdzen]

On the desktop, doubleclick fix.reg and allow it to run. Let it merge.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»

Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time.

Next:

Download AVG Anti-Spyware from HERE and save that file to your
desktop.
This is a 30 day trial of the program
  • Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware, locate the icon on the desktop
and double-click it to launch the set up program.
  • Once the setup is complete you will need run ewido and update the definition
    files.
  • On the main screen select the icon "Update" then select the "
    Update now
    " link.
    • Next select the "Start Update" button, the update will start and a
progress bar will show the updates being installed.
  • Once the update has completed select the "Scanner" icon at the top of

you saved that file, this is important).
  • Close AVG Anti-Spyware and reboot your system back into Normal Mode and post the
results of the AVG Anti-Spyware report scan along with a new HijackThis log.
Ok, I did exactly what you told me to except one thing. I could not run my comp in safe mode. I was pressing that F8 button like crazy and nothing. I know that procedure cause I used to use it on other comps when repairing, but I couldnt reach that screen now. I didnt find any other way to start in safe mode (if you know please tell me), so I did AVG scan in normal mode. It found about 8 things, but anyways here it is:

The infection you have can cause you to lose your internet connection.
Get a copy of winsockxpfix.exe in case that happens. You just run it and
things should work OK after it reboots your system.

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
Ok I did as you said.

When it comes to the files you told me to delete:

c:\windows\system32\emkcemk.dll —> could not delete, even when i rebooted… access is denied file is currently in use or write-protected
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ipv6mops.dll —> could not delete at first try, rebooted then deleted it
C:\WINDOWS\system\btlmct32.dll —-> deleted
C:\WINDOWS\System32\gqsmjagq.exe —> deleted

Before I did these things, my browser was still being hijacked. Now it still didnt happen, but then again, it does not get hijacked on every click so it doesnt mean much. Computer is working like normal.
After I post this Hijack log I will try to scan it once again with AVG just to see what it digs out. If it finds something Ill post it.

Here is hijack:

Ok Im stuck at first step… I opened hijack, config etc… and found C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\emkcemk.dll in Explorer.EXE. Do you want me to kill explorer.exe, or just the emkcemk.dll? Cause when I try to kill only the dll file and refresh, it keeps coming back (or it doesnt go away at all). So, before I proceed, do I kill explorer.exe or I go to the next step since dll isnt going away?
Did everything, couldnt kill process or delete emkcemk.dll. Computer working normal.

Is it to much to ask you to please explain what these files are supposed to do?
