aureliomark :D

I really can't help you until you post a HJT log and if all looks well Malware wise I can direct you to windows support sites that deal with those type of issues.

Hijackthis 1.99.1
Its important that Hijackthis is installed in its own permanent folder for backup purposes.
  • Use the link above or the links in my signature to download HJT 1.99.1 setup to your desktop
  • Double Click on the Setup icon and by defaut it will unzip to C:\Program Files\Hijackthis
  • Open HJT Scan and Save a Log File, it will open in Notepad
  • Go to Edit> Select All.....Edit > Copy and Paste the new log into this thread.
  • Please use Posted Imageand not Posted Image
DO NOT have HijackThis fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Your log does not have anything earthshattering on it.

Domain = access.local <-- Do you you about this??

Open HijackThis > Do a System Scan Only, close your browser and all open windows, the only program or window you should have open is HijackThis, check the following entries and click on Fix Checked.

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

O16 - DPF: {03F998B2-0E00-11D3-A498-00104B6EB52E} -

  • Your Java is out of date and leaving your system vulnerable.
  • Go to your Add-Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall any previous versions of Java (J2SE Runtime Environment)
  • It should have an icon next to it:
    Posted Image
    Select it and click Remove.
  • Reboot your system.
  • Then go to the Sun Microsystems and install the update
  • Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 5.0 Update 11 <--This is what you need to download and install.
  • If you chose the online installation, it will prompt you to run the program.
  • If you chose the offline installation, you will be prompted to save the file and you can run it from wherever you saved it.
  • Then after install you can verify your installation here Sun Java Verify
I like to to do the offline installation and save the setup file in case I may need it in the future

Lets run the trial of AVG Anti Spyware, if there is something bad it may show up on the log so be sure to save it and post it into your next reply.

Download and install the 30 day trial of AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 to your desktop.
  • Once you have downloaded AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5, locate the icon on the desktop and double-click it to launch the set up program.
  • Once the setup is complete you will need run AVG and update the definition files.
  • On the main screen select the icon Update then select the Update now link.
  • Next select the Start Update button, the update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.
  • Once the update has completed select the Scanner icon at the top of the screen, then select the Settings tab.
  • Once in the Settings screen click on Recommended actions and then select Quarantine <-- Dont forget this
  • Under Reports
  • Select Automatically generate report after every scan
  • Un-Select Only if threats were found
  • Close AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 <-- Do not run the scan yet.
Boot your computer into Safemode
  • Go to Start> Shut Off your Computer> Restart
  • As the computer starts to boot-up, Tap the F8 KEY somewhat rapidly.
  • This will bring up a menu.
  • Use the Up and Down Arrow Keys to scroll up to SAFEMODE
  • Then press the Enter on your Keyboard
Tutorial if you need it How to boot into Safemode

IMPORTANT: Do not open any other windows or programs while ewido is scanning, it may interfere with the scanning process:
  • Launch AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5 by double-clicking the icon on your desktop.
  • Select the Scanner icon at the top and then the Scan tab then click on Complete System Scan.
  • AVG will now begin the scanning process, be patient this may take a little time.
  • Once the scan is complete do the following:
  • If you have any infections you will prompted, then select Apply all actions
  • Next select the Reports icon at the top.
  • Select the Save report as button in the lower left hand of the screen and save it to a text file on your system
  • make sure to remember where you saved that file, this is important
  • Close AVG Anti-Spyware 7.5

Let me see the AVG log and a New HJT log please.

You need to open AVG and go to the Quarantine folder and remove it all, nothing in there you want to keep.

Remove these with HJT.

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =
R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page =

Only remove these if your sure you no longer use them
O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: Domain = access.local
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: Domain = access.local
O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: Domain = access.local

Here are the instructions for Restoring from a HJT backup in case you need it.

To restore the backups:
  • Open HiJackThis
  • Click on "View the list of Backups"
  • Place a check mark next to anything you want to restore
  • Click Restore
  • Click Yes
  • Reboot your computer

I really need to see the HJT log in Normal windows, when you run it in Safemode it does not show me the whole picture.

Go to your Add-Remove Programs in the Control Panel and uninstall Viewpoint This is a program that installed without your knowledge or consent, uses up system resources and is not needed for anything.

We need to make sure all hidden files are showing :
  • Click Start.
  • Open My Computer.
  • Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
  • Select the View tab.
  • Under the Hidden files and folders heading select Show hidden files and folders.
  • Uncheck the Hide file extensions for known types option.
  • Uncheck the Hide protected operating system files (recommended) option.
  • Click Yes to confirm.
  • Click OK.
Once your system is clean, we suggest that you reverse this to keep critical windows files from accidently being deleted.

internat.exe
I need you to do a windows search for me on this file, its most likely legit but it could also be bad. Look in C:\windows, C:\windows\system and C:\windows\system32. Let me know what folder its in. When you find it, right click on it and go to properties and lets make sure its a Microsoft file.

You need to open Internet Explorer and go to Tools > Internet Options and download any critical updates...DO NOT INSTALL ANY DRIVER FILES

Let me know about that file and post a new HJT log please

C:\Winnt\System32\dllcache the computer froze again after I sent you yesterdays email I have installed all the latest win updates :o

sc stop Viewpoint Manager Service
sc delete Viewpoint Manager Service

  • Click File > Save as >type in cmd.bat
  • Under "Save as type" Select All files
  • Save it to your Desktop
  • Close Notepad
  • The cmd.bat file should now appear on your Desktop
  • Double Click cmd.bat
  • Reboot your Computer
  • Run Hijackthis and post a new log please

Then scan with HJT and make sure these two are gone, if not fix them.

You have a few options here to try.

If your not using these then remove them.

O17 - HKLM\System\CCS\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: Domain = access.local
O17 - HKLM\System\CS1\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: Domain = access.local
O17 - HKLM\System\CS2\Services\Tcpip\Parameters: Domain = access.local

Look again for this file and let me know if its a Microsoft file.
C:\WINNT\system32\internat.exe

Then run both these scans, Blacklight is a qucik scan but Panda may take an hour or so.

Download and Save the Trial of Blacklight to your desktop.
  • Download the Blacklight Beta graphical user interface version
  • Double-click blbeta.exe
  • Then accept the agreement
  • Click > scan then > next
  • You'll see a list of all items found. There will also be a log on your desktop with the name fsbl.xxxxxxx.log (the xxxxxxx stand for numbers).
  • Copy and paste this log in your next reply.
  • Don't choose the rename option yet! I want to see the log first, because legitimate items can also be present there, such as "wbemtest.exe"

Run Panda's ActiveScan from here and perform a full system scan.
  • Once you are on the Panda site click the "Scan your PC" button
  • A new window will open...click the big "Check Now" button
  • Enter your Country
  • Enter your State/Province
  • Enter your e-mail address and click send
  • Select either Home User or Company
  • Click the big Scan Now button
  • If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
  • It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It will take a couple minutes)
  • If you are on a slow connection it will take about 15 minuites for the scanner to load.
  • Click on "Local Disks" to start the scan
  • Once scan is done, click "see report" then "save report"
  • Save the log someplace you can find
  • 12. Reboot
  • Post the Panda scan results in your next reply

If there is nothing serious picked up by these scans than it may be a hardware or a windows problem and at that point I can direct you to our wndows support forum.

Boot to Safemode and delete this file and folder.

C:\WINNT\system32\xmltok.dll
C:\Program Files\Viewpoint

I could be wrong but those 017 entries are not malicious , just clutter so lets just let them be.

The scans are not picking up anything bad so this could be a hardware or software issue.
The rest of your log looks fine so I suggest you post at our other forum for windows problems.

OTHER COMPUTER PROBLEMS

I will keep this thread open for you in case you need to post back, be sure to let them know that you posted here and all the scans are coming up clean as well as your HJT log. They may be able to help you get rid of those 017s unless there needed for something.
