internet explorer pops up when starting firefox

spybot search and destroy found "vsmonde", a dll, and removed it since i ran firefox last, but when i start up mozilla, a full-page internet explorer comes up on top with some sort of photo finder site on it. any thoughts?

oh yeah i almost forgot... a pop up site within firefox for "errorsafe.com" keeps up opening up a new tab every so often and is a pain in the butt to close.

Sorry for the delay :oops:
If you still need help and haven't posted at another forum.

Run AVG Anti-Spyware (ewido). Then scan and save the log from the scan.
Instructions and download link can be found here.

Rescan with hijackthis and post a new log with the results from AVG .
Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

THX for replying! To be honest, I think I fixed the problem. I googled the webpage that was popping up and it said vundo was the problem, so I found a little program called vundofix and it seemed to clean it up. Now I'm running superantispyware, adaware, bitdefender, and all seems happy here. NP for the delay, I only turn here as a last resort because I know you guys are busy helping other peeps, and I seriously applaud all of you who try to help :thumbup: thx again!
