When was the last time you ran dfrag?

Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Disk Defragmenter

This is the only thing left I can think of.

Click Start> Run> type in CMD tap enter key
type in chkdsk /f /r to be certain that any needed files are not located in bad-sectors.
