I get the popup as soon as my computer boots up. Could it possibly be in the startup?

I'd uninstalled Microsoft Office 2007Beta, then attempted to install the Enterprise version. I had also installed Business Plan Pro 2007, and Nero Ultra 7 about the same time. All of a sudden the "Buffer overrun detected" error popsup. It's been consistently reappearing upon reboot.

I would uninstall them one at a time and reboot after you've uninstall each to see which program is causing the error. Or you could go into msconfig, Startup, and uncheck them. That might do it.

Okay LDTate,

I've uninstalled the recently-installed programs.

The "Buffer overrun detected" error continues to appear. I hope I'm not out of luck. Any suggestions?

That could be the problem I suggest you do this: Uninstall Internet Explorer 7 to return to Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP Click "Start," and then click "Control Panel." Click "Add or Remove Programs." Check "Show Updates" at the top of the dialog box. Scroll down the list and highlight the version of Internet Explorer 7 that you are running, and then click "Change/Remove."

I no longer have IE 7. I uninstalled it three days ago. I now use Mozilla Firefox.
