Hello Master14 and welcome to the forums here at Tom Coyote.
I Want to know how to restore items deleted by the hijackthis Program
To do that you would do the following:
Run HijackThis and click on View the list of backups button. Select which backups you would like to retrieve and then click on Restore. Close HijackThis.
You have a Smitfraud infection so please do the following:
Download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop. http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip
Extract all the files to your Destop. A folder named SmitfraudFix will be created on your Desktop.
[external image: Posted Image]
Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter
[external image: Posted Image]
This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. It will create a file named:
c:\rapport.txt
IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!
Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
Yea i still need help. Here's the log

2.AVG Anti-Spyware log
3.A new HijackThis log
Your may need several replies to post the requested logs, otherwise they might get cut off.
Let me know if you have any questions along the way.
I got the program. i downloaded the updates but i dont see any settings tab where i would put the recommended actions. theres a programs settings tab and a systems area test settings tab. but thats all. i cant find what you were talking about. if you could show some pictures it would help more. thanks. Chuuch.
Hi Master14,
I see the AVG logs but did you run option #2 on the Smitfraud fix first? If so I need the logs.
If you're unclear about any of the instructions let me know.
Thanks,
Dave
I didnt run option 2 first. i ran the scan. guess i misunderstood. i was trying to get to the options for the AVG but i didnt see the ones you were talking about until i ran the scan. but everything looks good now. would i have to do this again if i got infected with some other stuff or would it depend on what kind of infection it was. but thanks. thats all the logs afterwards.
I think we need to take a step back here for a minute.
When I say "option 2" I'm talking about the Smitfraud tool. AVG is part of the cleanup but the most important piece is the Smitfraud fix, as that's the infection that was shown from running option 1. I will repost that particular part of the fix here now. This should have been done before running AVG. Please read through the instructions carefully and if you're not sure about something let me know. If you already did this then also let me know and post the log from Smitfraud.

The other major observation at this point is it now appears you have 3 Antivirus programs running (AVG, TrendMicro, and McAfee. Here is my take on this:
This can cause many issues including system slow down, conflicts, ect…
You can keep them installed but just use one for real-time scanning and disable the others. The disabled programs can still be used for one-time scans.
In general you never want to run 2 (or more in your case) Anti-Virus or Firewall programs at the same time. Other types of Spyware protection such as Spybot, SpywareBlaster, ect… are usually OK (and recommended) to have multiple programs running for layered protection.
