MSIE 6 browser will NOT go to Amazon.com

In the past couple of days I have been unable to get my browser to go to amazon.com. When I try to get to that page I get a page from my ISP apologizing for not being able to locate the requested site and provides a list of possible sites I might have meant to request, including Amazon.com. When I select that particular link I get the aforementioned page apologizing for not being able to locate the requested site. I have experienced no other problems with the browser other than frequent errors requiring the browser to be closed & re-started.

I am running MSIE on Windows 98 SE with 640 MB RAM and plenty of room on the HD. Ad-Aware scans have turned up some data mining cookies which I delete. My anti-virus software, NOD32 by Eset, has not detected any threats. My ISP (EarthLink) provides anti-virus protection through Norton as well, so the NOD32 really just catches whatever the ISP protection does not.

Thanks in advance,
