I'm having problems with computer freezing up, and running real slow. I have ran spyware scans show's a trojan it says its cleaned but everytime I log back on it's back. I believe I have way to much running in the back but have no idea what I need and what I dont. If you could please look at my hijack log and let me know I would appreciate it.

Thanks

Tricia

Hi Trish65 and welcome to the Forums :)

There is something we'll get rid of…

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)

Double-click SmitfraudFix.exe
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

**If the tool fails to launch from the Desktop, please move SmitfraudFix.exe directly to the root of the system drive (usually C:), and launch from there.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/proc…processutil.htm

NOTE: Do not run any other options from SmitfraudFix until I tell you to do so!

Hi :)

You seem to have this MyWebSearch software installed. It has a suspicious reputation and I recommend that you remove it via Control Panel, Add/Remove programs.

This is the folder to delete, C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch
These are the lines to fix with HijackThis,

R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {00A6FAF6-072E-44cf-8957-5838F569A31D} - C:\Program Files\MyWebSearch\SrchAstt\1.bin\MWSSRCAS.DLL (file missing)

You don't seem to have a third-party firewall installed. You must install one firewall.
It is possible that you're using the Windows XP firewall. That is of course better than nothing but I recommend that you install a more advanced firewall that gives more protection. Windows firewall doesn't eg protect your computer from inbound threats. This means that any malware on your computer is free to "phone home" for more instructions. Remember to use only one firewall at the same time. I'll give you a few alternatives if you want to install a third-party firewall:

These are good (free) firewalls: You don't have an antivirus on your computer, you must install one antivirus. Otherwise you'll get infected again.

These are good (free) antiviruses: Please let me know how the computer is running. Any issues ?
Hello Mr. Jake Ok I did remove that thing you told me too. Has far as anti-virus I have spybot also windows defender also avg spyware but my computer is still running really slow. I really want to thank you for all your help because I have no clue anything about computers. Thanks Tricia Garcia
Hi :)

Well Spybot, Windows Defender and AVG Anti-Spyware are no antiviruses, you should definately install one.

So the system is slow…it might not be malware related but let's run one more scan just in case.

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
  • The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
  • Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  • Now click on Scan Settings
  • In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
    • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
    Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
    • Scan Options:
    Scan Archives
    Scan Mail Bases
  • Click OK
  • Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
  • This will program will start and scan your system.
  • The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
  • Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
    • Now click on the Save as Text button:
  • Save the file to your desktop.
  • Copy and paste that information in your next post.
