Hello everybody.

Recently I downloaded a piece of software containing a trojan or something like. Since installation each time I launch the IE Explorer and search something through google there are popups from poker and adultfriend finder sites.

Deinstalled suspicious software + the google toolbar.

In the msconfig I removed from startup the C-Dillasvr ??

Run Spyware remover, Noadware, Adaware and Highjackthis.
removed some elements with highkackthis but without results.

Here my logfile, made without any programm apparently running or open.
Look at the iexplorer.exe ligne isn't that strange ? I can't stop them with the taskmanager.

Hi Zap,

I'm Gary R, I'll be glad to help you with your computer problems.

As an introduction, please note I don't know everything, what I do know has taken me years to learn and I'm happy to pass on this information to you, but bear in mind that I'm also fallible. I do have a very knowlegable group behind me who I can ask if needs be.

Please observe these rules while we work:
  • Perform all actions in the order given.
  • If you don't know, stop and ask! Don't keep going on.
  • Please reply to this thread. Do not start a new topic.
  • Stick with it till you're given the all clear.
  • Remember, absence of symptoms does not mean the infection is all gone.
If you can do these things, everything should go smoothly.
  • Please note you'll need to have Administrator priviledges to perform the fixes. (XP accounts are Administrator by default)

It may be helpful to you to print out or take a copy of any instructions given, as sometimes it is necessary to go offline and you will lose access to them.


Download NoLop by Skate_Punk_21 to your desktop from one of the links below…

  • Close any other programs you have running as this will require a reboot.
  • Double click NoLop.exe to run it.
  • Now click the button labelled Search and Destroy.
  • your computer will now be scanned for infected files.
  • When scanning is finished you will be prompted to reboot only if infected, Click OK.
  • Now click the REBOOT button.
  • A Message should popup from NoLop. If not, double click the program again and it will finish.
  • Please Post the contents of C:\NoLop.log along with a fresh HijackThis log.
–If you receive an error, "mscomctl.ocx or one of its dependencies are not correctly registered," please download mscomctl.ocx to your system32 folder then rerun the program. –

Hi,
Thanks for your fast response and your willingness to help :D

I did as mentioned. There still are those iexplorer.exe

By trying to installa soft it tolds me that I need to close the internet explorer; just it was closed (or I believed it) :(

Hi Zap,

OK, looking better.

I need you to run a scan with HJT and when finished check the following items.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [first debug joy anti] C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\grim okay first debug\PROXY TOOL.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [2 Skip] C:\DOCUME~1\zap\APPLIC~1\ARMYSE~1\balm plan.exe


Close all open windows and click Fix checked to remove them.

Now find and delete the following folders (in bold).

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\grim okay first debug
C:\Documents and Settings\zap\Application Data\ARMYSE~1

Note: The folder ARMYSE~1 will not be named as such, but will start with the letters ARMYSE

Download ATF Cleaner by Atribune and save it to your Desktop.
  • 1st Ensure your Internet Browser is closed.
  • Double click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Check the following boxes:
    • Windows Temp
    • Current User Temp
    • All Users Temp
    • Temporary Internet Files
    • Prefetch
    • Recycle Bin
    • Java Cache
  • The rest are optional - if you want to remove the lot, check Select All.
  • Now click Empty Selected.
  • When you get the Done Cleaning message, click OK.
  • If you use Firefox browser.
    • Click Firefox at the top and choose: Select All
    • If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
    • Click the Empty Selected button.
  • If you use Opera browser.
    • Click Opera at the top and choose: Select All
    • If you would like to keep your saved passwords, please click No at the prompt.
    • Click the Empty Selected button.
Download AVG Anti-Spyware.
  • Install AVG Anti-Spyware.
  • Launch AVG by double-clicking on the icon.
  • The program will now open to the main screen.
  • You will need to update AVG to the latest definition files.
  • At the top of the main screen click Update.
  • Then in the Manual Update section, click on Start Update.
[*]The update will start and a progress bar will show the updates being installed.

[*]When updates are completed, close AVG.

If you are having problems with the updater, you can use this link to manually update AVG.

Run a scan with AVG.
  • Click on Scanner
    • Click on the Settings tab, and set the following settings.
      • How to act
      • Click on Recommended actions, and set to Quarantine.
    • How to scan
      • Check all options.
    • Possibly unwanted software.
      • Check all options.
    • Reports
      • Check Automatically generate report after every scan.
      • Uncheck Only if threats were found.
    • What to scan
      • Check Scan every file.
  • Click on the Scan tab.
    • Click on Complete System Scan and the scan will begin.
    • When the scan has finished
    • Make sure that Set all elements to: shows Quarantine, if not click on the link and choose Quarantine from the popup menu.
    • At the bottom of the window click on the Apply all Actions button.
Note: Don't save the report before you hit the Apply action button.

Close AVG Anti-Spyware.

AVG will save a report in the following location C:\Program Files\Grisoft\AVG anti-spyware 7.5\Reports

Send me the AVG report, along with a new HJT log please.

IMPORTANT
  • It is unclear from your log whether or not you have a firewall installed.
  • If you have one running, please disregard this.
  • If it is disabled, please enable it.
  • If you are using the firewall that comes with Windows, or Service Pack 2, you should replace it. It doesn't monitor outgoing traffic, so anything on your computer can 'phone home' at will.
Below is a list of some free firewalls (in no order of preference).It is important to note that you should only have one firewall installed at a time, but you can download to your Desktop and install each in turn to see which one you prefer.
