Hello mnchickadee and welcome to the forums here at Tom Coyote.

Please download SDFix and save it to your Desktop.

You should print out these instructions, or copy them to a NotePad file for reading while in Safe Mode, because you will not be able to connect to the Internet to read from this site.

Double click on SDFix.exe. It should automatically extract a folder called SDFix to your system drive (usually C:\). Please reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  • Choose your usual account.
  • Open the SDFix folder and double click on RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y and press Enter to begin the script.
  • It will start cleaning your PC and then prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any key to restart the PC.
  • Your system will take longer than normal to restart as the fixtool will be removing files.
  • When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished.
  • Press any key to end the script and to load your desktop icons.
  • A text file should automatically open, so please copy the contents and post them here. We also need you to post a new HijackThis log

Hello,

Looks like SD Fix did what we needed it to. I'll have you do some cleanup with HJT and run another scan.

We need to temporarily disable Spyware Doctor so it won't block the changes we make with HJT.
Disable Spyware Doctor:
Please disable Spyware Doctor, as it may interfere with the fix. To disable Spyware Doctor:* Click the Spyware Doctor icon in the System Tray.
* Click Settings.
* Click Startup Settings under Pick a Category.
* Uncheck Run at Windows startup.
* Click Apply and Exit Spyware Doctor
Once your log is clean you can re-enable Spyware Doctor.

Run HijackThis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\blank.htm
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {7E853D72-626A-48EC-A868-BA8D5E23E045} - (no file)

Then close all windows except this one and press Fix checked.

Please go Here and do an online scan. Let it fix any infections.
Let me know what is found.

After scan, reboot and post a new HijackThis log

Also let me know how the computer is running now.

I am sorry I didn't post it yet, my dog almost died and it has been a hectic week last week, I will do the last scan for hijack this when I get home from work and post it. My daughter said it is working alot better. I still can't get spyware dr. to uninstall either. Thanks for your patience. :thumbup: mnchickadee
