hi r.jb, from those logs it dosnt look like you had smitfraud. you can select that 021 item in hjt and "fix it" dont see much else, but its always good to run a antimalware app or two like your ad aware and spybot.
Thank you for replying to my postings. I am at a loss as to what to do next as deleting "O21" is only effective if computer is in safe mode. HJT removes the item in question but when computer is rebooted in normal mode this registry item is still there. I have used regedit to delete it but it almost instantaneously returns. I even renamed it and before I clicked the mouse to save the new name the original is back. The computer was once infected with the "virusburst" tojan but it was removed after much frustration and from what I have read this registry entry may be a remnant from that. The computer appears to behave normally even though this registry item exists; it justs bugs me that it cannot be deleted. Thanks again sonnyboy r.jb
