Hi everybody and thanks in advance for your help,

Since 2 days I had spyware and Trojan message alerts from 3 ways.

1/ An alert from the Windows System Security Center saying that explorer.exe is possibly infected by Win32.Trojan.Dropper. there is a scan proposal sending to a commercial page

2/ While surfing a new non required page appears (with about blank address) saying attention virus destected (Trojan.Dxloader/lx) with a download proposal of spyware knight or spyware soldier

3/ The 3rd attack comes from the bottom tool bar with different small messages saying that the computer is infected and that I need to install the latest antispyware bla bla bla

This triple attack is very annoying and painfull.
You will find below my HJT file

Hello Arnaud91190 and welcome to the forums here at Tom Coyote.

You have several infections going on here, including Coolwebsearch, Smitfraud, and many others. This may take a few steps so stay with me, even if your symptoms start to disappear that does not mean you are clear. Stay with me until I give you an all clear please. Thanks and let's get to work.

First please download and run CWShredder. Make sure that all browser windows are closed with the exception
of Cwshredder and choose Fix Then Reboot.

Now, download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri) to your Desktop.
http://siri.urz.free.fr/Fix/SmitfraudFix.zip
Extract all the files to your Destop. A folder named SmitfraudFix will be created on your Desktop.

[external image: Posted Image]

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press Enter

[external image: Posted Image]

This program will scan large amounts of files on your computer for known patterns so please be patient while it works. It will create a file named:
c:\rapport.txt

IMPORTANT: Do NOT run any other options until you are asked to do so!

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.

Please post back the following file using the Add Reply button:
C:\rapport.txt
Hello Indigenus and thanks for your prompt answer, I have followed your instruction running CWShredder that fixed 3 files. Then I ran Smitfraudfix. Here is the report as requested. Your may need several replies to post the requested logs, otherwise they might get cut off.
Hello Indigenus, Please find the results required, I took a little freedom to achieve those as I was not able to follow your procedure with AVG Anti-Spyware. I may be dumb or they have changed the presentation but I could not find both the scanner and reports actions. I did those by myself. The result was that it found the Downloader.Tibs virus in 4 .exe files in System32 and that's it. Second, since the beginning I have not been able to launch smitfraudfix except but in safe mode, which is not what you required but I could not do otherwise. I do not think that it is that important. Otherwise please fnd below both the smitfraudfix rapport and a new HJT log. Regards Arnaud PS : It seems that I do not have anymore popup, no more windows security center alert but I still have the blank page coming on the internet. 2 on 3 is already good stuff for now. Hello Arnaud,

Please find the results required, I took a little freedom to achieve those as I was not able to follow your procedure with AVG Anti-Spyware. I may be dumb or they have changed the presentation but I could not find both the scanner and reports actions. I did those by myself.

OK, I'll check my instructions for AVG. Did AVG find anything of significance?

PS : It seems that I do not have anymore popup, no more windows security center alert but I still have the blank page coming on the internet. 2 on 3 is already good stuff for now.

OK…on #3 when you say "the blank page" are you saying Internet Explorer will not load any web pages at all?
Is the page just blank or is there an error msg.?
Hello Indigenus, AVG found nothing more excepted Downloader.tibs virus 4 times. Yes I was not that clear on that part. this concerns Internet explorer and this unwanted page appears randomly while surfing. It is always the same and the address is blank page and there is no message error. It is still present.
1/ An alert from the Windows System Security Center saying that explorer.exe is possibly infected by Win32.Trojan.Dropper. there is a scan proposal sending to a commercial page Doesn't sound like something MS would do. This seems to be trickery, imho.
effendi-1,

Are you posting about your own computer doing this? If so then please start a new thread for yourself.

Please do not make comments or "interrupt" into this thread as it can make things confusing for myself and Arnaud. If you would like to "watch" the fix happen you are more than welcome to do so, just please don't add any more comments.

Thank you, I appreciate it.
Dave

Arnaud,

I would like you to run an online virus scan as follows.

Using Internet Explorer, click on Kaspersky Online Scanner * You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click 'Yes'.
* The program will launch and then start to download the latest definition files.
* Once the scanner is installed and the definitions downloaded, click 'Next'.
* Now click on 'Scan Settings'
* In the scan settings make sure that the following are selected:
o Scan using the following Anti-Virus database: 'Extended' (If available, otherwise 'Standard')
o Scan Options: 'Scan Archives' and 'Scan Mail Bases'
* Click 'OK'
* Now under 'Select a target to scan' select 'My Computer'
* The scan will take a while, so be patient and let it run. Once the scan is complete, it will display whether your system has been infected.
* Now click on the 'Save as Text' button:
* Save the file to your desktop.
Please post the Kaspersky report and a new HijackThis log.

Dave
Hello Dave, Please find below both F secure report and HJT log. After the Fsecure treatment that found a cleaned a few more viruses, I was hoping not to have this bloody unwanted internet page every 3-4 clicks anymore but it still is. Otherwise, everything is (seems) fine as a user. Hi Arnaud,
This is an example of one of the infected items in your Outlook Express mailbox, you have several of them. I would empty/delete any and all suspect items in your OE folders.

C:\Documents and Settings\SHARKY\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\{F37FBF11-BB3E-4708-8C26-692D26DB9B85}\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Éléments supprimés.dbx/[From Silvia F. Sellers <[removed]>][Date Fri, 19 Jan 2007 04:04:08 +0100]/UNNAMED/Full Infected: Email-Worm.Win32.Zhelatin.a skipped

Download the Killbox.
Unzip it to the desktop

Double-click Killbox.exe to run it.

Select "Delete on Reboot".
Place the following line (complete path) in bold in the "Full Path of File to Delete" box in Killbox:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\oiso.bin

Click the red-and-white "Delete File" button. Click "Yes" at the Delete on Reboot prompt.
If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

Now please reboot and post a new HijackThis log. I realize there is probably a language barrier here so no big deal, but the last 2 times I asked for a HJT log you have given me a new Smitfraud log. Again, no big deal. Post a log from HijackThis.exe.

Thanks,
Dave
Hello Dave,

You are right, it is more a question of managing many differents new programs than a question of language.
Sorry for that and here is the right KJT log.

regards
Arnaud
