Hi, first off, I would just like to say THANK YOU to everyone that donates his/her time here on this website……you all are just great!! Ok, now for my problem……normally my computer runs great. My husband and I are both pretty good at keeping our computer clean and running fast. Recently, I have noticed my computer running slower than usual but nothing is showing up in any spyware scan/virus scan that I have done. I have ran Spybot, Ashampoo Antispyware, AVG (in safe mode ;) ), McAfee, Windows Defender and Cleanup!, but nothing besides 1 or 2 tracking cookies are coming up. I would just like someone to check my Hijack This log to verify that everything looks normal and nothing is installed/running on my computer that shouldn't be or that I don't need. Thanks again for your time & I look foward to hearing back from you!! :)

Welcome to Tom Coyote .

I am not looking at anything bad on your log but did you by chance run HJT in Safemode as your log appears a little on the lean side. If you did, run HJT in normal windows and post a new log please.

Ken :D
Nope, not running the scan in safe mode. We usually keep the computer pretty clean……don't want the garbage you get from the internet stored on my computer;) Anyways, just wanted to have a professional check this out and make sure there is nothing I am not seeing on there!! Thanks for you help:)

Here are some free programs to install, don't leave home without them
  • Spybot Search and Destroy 1.4
Check for Updates/ Immunize and run a Full System Scan on a regular basis.
  • Ad-Aware SE Personal 1.06
Check for Updates and run a Full System Scan on a regular basis.
  • Spyware Blaster It will prevent most spyware from ever being installed.
  • Spyware Guard It offers realtime protection from spyware installation attempts.
  • Win Patrol This program will warn you when any changes are being made to your system and give you the option to deny the change.
  • IE-Spyad
IE-Spyad places over 4000 web sites and domains in the IE Restricted list which will severely impair attempts to infect your system. It basically prevents any downloads (cookies etc) from the sites listed, although you will still be able to connect to the sites.
  • Firefox 2.0 It has more features and is a lot more secure than IE. It is a very easy and painless download and install, it will no way interfere with IE, you can use them both.
  • Zone Alarm Here is a free Firewall from Zone Labs, I wouldn't access the internet without it.
