Couple of things:
This is very basic, but must be checked.
It would be silly to keep having problems if the solution was this simple.
Here's a pic of the connectors on the back of a typical "onboard sound" computer.

Please be sure you have your speaker connector plugged into the "green" socket.
I'll post this and then get right back to you.

Run Everest 2.20
Look in the left-hand column
Select - MultiMedia - Windows Audio
Next
In the Command Bar at the top of Everest:
Select Report - Quick Report
Create and Save a Quick Report for Windows Audio
Next
Select - MultiMedia - PCI / PNP Audio
Select Report - Quick Report
Create and Save a Quick Report for PCI / PNP Audo
The following is "an example" from a machine here on my bench right now:
I will "highlight in blue" what I want you to post.
I will "highlight in Red", what I don't need you to post.
Most of the information that we will use is in the "top" potion of the Quick Report.
Then there will be a long list of apparently non-sensical numbers and letters arranged in "Blocks"
We don't need the "block" information at this time.
As you can see, posting the "blocked" information would take up a lot of space in a forum that if not needed would be just waisted space.
We'll be conservationists for the time being.

In Device Manager - Do you see any item entries with yellow or red warnings for:
Other Device
Unknown Device
???
no there are no "other devices" now, i got rid of it by installing the driver by installing the audio device and finding the driver you got me to download, from browse folders.. and it installed properly.
Onboard Audio connectors are arranged "vertically" on most machines with "onboard audio"
machines with added PCI sound Cards have Audio connector plugs arranged "horizontally" and much lower on the back of the case, corresponding to the location of the PCI Sound Card.
Which is yours?
Vertical and higher up on the back of computer
Horizontal and lower down on the back of the computer
Well my audio plugs are just underneath the Ethernet plug, and they are both connected on the same thing..
if what your saying is "do i have an added sound card" i dont think i do.. the audio plugs are within the bunch of normal bunch of plugs. but the audio plugs are on the bottom of the normal plugs.. and its horizontal.
