Without fail, within 15 minutes of computing, a select group of services are stopped and disabled. I notice the slowdown, then check the services, and this same group is stopped and disabled again. These are: alerter, clip board, DNS, somputer brower, indexing, messe ger, net mtg, net DDE, net DDE DSDM, NTLM secutiry, performance logs, secondary logon, server, TC/IP Net Bios, terminal server, windows time, and workstation. It's interesting because these services could all play a role in detection of an intruder, and so disabling them prevents detection. I think. Anyway, I have AdAware, Windows Defender, have used Symantec's virus scanner, Yahoo's spyware removal, and none has detected anything other than cookies which I remove. There's something lurking that's disabling these services, unless I'm delusional. Thanks for any advice. CMGith
