I could not run the online scan because it still says that I have insufficient rights to do so. I did get the AVG virus scan to run and after 13 hrs it found about 39000 files infected with WORM/VB.SO. Then after another 14 or 15 hours it tried to heal the files. It said that all the infected files were deleted. So the next day I tried to run AVG again and it found the exact same files infected with the same exact thing, So it must be these infection just keep reinstalling themselves. I don't have a clue on what to do!!!!!!!!!!
Here is the log.

I'm sure it said but I don't remember file names except that they were under two different users of the pc. Do you know of any spyware or virus remover that will get rid of WORM/VB.SO?
The anti-virus program you have now should have moved them to the virus vault. Is that maybe where it said they are? Open AVG control Center and look at the Vault.

There are 31000 files in the vault and it won't show them to me until it is done analyzing them. Which might be done by tommorrow.

Wow :o I would unplug the internet connection until it's done in case the infected ones are trying to download more. That should also speed the process up.
It seems pretty hopeless with this virus protection. The 31000 files are the same ones the atlantic broadband scan found and neither one of these scan seems to be able to do anything with this spyware. They both said that they deleted or healed the infections and if you run either scan again, they find the same infections over and over. I really don't know where to look for the answer.
Open AVG Vault and empty it.

Does it say where any of these virus files are located?

C:\Documents and Settings\kids\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp\Webshots.lnk

click Start> Run> type in Msconfig tap enter key.
look in the Startup. If any of these are listed with a check, uncheck them:
GStartup or Gator
PowerReg Scheduler V3.exe
Webshots

Empty Recycle Bin

Reboot and post a new HijackThis log
I did what you asked, when I tried to find the files to delete I found nothing under GStartup.Ink or Webshots.Ink but when I typed PowerRegSchedulerV3.exe there were over 4100 files listed. I don't know if I
did it wrong or not. Here is your scan

Its running absolutely terrible. Has taken me over 15 minutes to log on and respond to you. This system in seriously infected with something, Worm/VB.SO still shows up in over 30000 files any time I run any virus scan. Is there any virus protectio that can handle this or W32/Rbot-FVY. Thank you
