Hello and welcome to the forums

I'm not seeing anything bad in your log, but lets see what we can find.

Please go HERE and do a online scan.
Let me know what is found.

After scan, reboot and post a new HijackThis log

Also let me know how the computer is running now.

LDTate thanks for the help.Did as you suggested
the scan found 1 virus and 2 cookies ,but i had it
cleaned without getting the name .Hope this does'nt
make this much harder. Here is the hijackthis scan

Run hijackthis. Hit None of the above, Click Do a System Scan Only. Put a Check in the box on the left side on these:

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"




Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
Download - ATF Cleaner»
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Under Main choose: Select All
Click the Empty Selected button.

(If you use FireFox or the Opera browser
To keep saved passwords, click No at the prompt.)

It's normal after running ATF cleaner that the PC will be slower to boot the first time or two.


Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.

LDTate, when I tried to reboot after installing AFT Cleaner my computer went into a cycle of getting to the XP screen and then starting up again. I ended up reformating and doing a fresh install.Needless to say this fixed the Antivermin problem. Thank you for your help,hope I want have any more problems like this, but if I do I will not hesitate to come back here for help. little red

Sorry to hear that.

If you dont have any programs like these, I would recommend that you get them.
Spywareblaster,
Spywareguard.
IE Spyads
They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening.

Also get a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.
