On about Dec 2nd I noticed that my Yahoo searches were being redirected to alternate sites. The computer then started defaulting to Google and the same redirects began from Google searches. Using AOL or MSN does not redirect me. However, when I restart, I am defaulted to Google and then redirected during searches.
I have run Stinger, CWShredder, Ad-Aware, Spybot, Norton Antivirus and Windows Defender numerous times. Spybot always tells me that my Microsoft Securty settings are disabled and I have fixed it every time. Ad-Aware gives me periodic messages about cookies and I have removed them.
On Dec 10th (today) I installed XoftSpy SE and Regcure and have run that twice. I get several hits and have fixed each time.
