Hi Mrs. Petereson and welcome to Tom Coyote forums

I am currently looking over your log. As I am an Undergraduate, everything that I post to you must be checked by an Admin or Moderator. Thus, there may be a tiny bit of a delay between posts, but it shouldn't be too long. I will post back shortly with a potential fix.

Thanks for your patience!
dan
Thank you so much Dan. When I turned on my monitor this am I was slammed with spam offers for virus cleaning programs, etc. Also massive adult web sites relating to dating,… all porn. UUUUGGGHHH! Thank you for any help you can offer.
Hi Mrs. Petereson

You seem to have two downloads of HJT can you locate this one and delete:
C:\DOCUME~1\Owner\LOCALS~1\Temp\Temporary Directory 18 for hijackthis.zip\HijackThis.exe

This one is fine here:C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\hjt\HijackThis.exe
______________________

You have a couple of bad antiRouge programs see here: SystemDoctor
ErrorSafe

Delete bad programs
  • Click Start
  • Go to Control Panel
  • Go to Add/Remove Programs
  • Find and click Remove for the following (if present). It could be that they have a space or something between it , but it has to look like it:
  • SystemDoctor 2006 Free
  • ErrorSafe
**Take care when answering any questions posed by an uninstaller. Some questions may be worded to deceive you into keeping the program.

Please download SmitfraudFix (by S!Ri)
Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Note : process.exe is detected by some antivirus programs (AntiVir, Dr.Web, Kaspersky) as a "RiskTool"; it is not a virus, but a program used to stop system processes. Antivirus programs cannot distinguish between "good" and "malicious" use of such programs, therefore they may alert the user.
http://www.beyondlogic.org/consulting/proc…processutil.htm

Include the report in your next post
Thanks dan
Hi Dan, on 12/09 I did uninstall System Doctor (I found in in control; panel/add and remove) but did not find ErrorSafe in the control panel…only on my desk top as an icon. I deleted that. I know, though, that doesn't mean I may have gotten rid of it completely.

I have followed your instruction regarding SmitFraudFix and couldn't find the actual icon that read smitfraudfix.cmd but did hover over the icon and realized which one was the command tool. I clicked on that and found it impossible to copy the report so I am including the only information provided:

Process.EXE file is missing!
Unzip all the archive in a folder
then: press any key to continue and then the window dissapears.

I do have to say that on 12/11 (today) I did a complete system restor back to 12/03 (the last time anyone had a chance to mess with the computer and I am no longer receiving the massive pop-ups and and am fairly sure that the continual nagging from SystemDoctor is no longer a problem. Nonetheless, I am enclosing an updated Hijack this log in the event you can spot anything else still lurking.
