Hi. I need help please. I got a trojan virus on my PC prior to getting Norton Antivirus installed. It detected the fivesec virus and my computer was spamming out e-mails like mad. I have run a complete scan with Norton several times now, even in safe mode and it is not finding anything else. But the PC is still spamming e-mail like crazy, I know this because Norton brings up that litte screen saying it is scanning the outgoing mail (plus hte e-mail server then blocks the send) and so the screen gets locked up with Norton messages. Here is the highjack log. Thanks for your help.

Welcome to Tom Coyote

Download SDFix and save it to your desktop.

Please then reboot your computer in Safe Mode by doing the following :
  • Restart your computer
  • After hearing your computer beep once during startup, but before the Windows icon appears, tap the F8 key continually;
  • Instead of Windows loading as normal, a menu with options should appear;
  • Select the first option, to run Windows in Safe Mode, then press "Enter".
  • Choose your usual account.
  • In Safe Mode, right click the SDFix.zip folder and choose Extract All,
  • Open the extracted folder and double click RunThis.bat to start the script.
  • Type Y to begin the script.
  • It will remove the Trojan Services then make some repairs to the registry and prompt you to press any key to Reboot.
  • Press any Key and it will restart the PC.
  • Your system will take longer that normal to restart as the fixtool will be running and removing files.
  • When the desktop loads the Fixtool will complete the removal and display Finished, then press any key to end the script and load your desktop icons.
  • Finally open the SDFix folder on your desktop and copy and paste the contents of the results file Report.txt back onto the forum with a new HijackThis log
Thanks bamajim

To enable the viewing of Hidden and System files follow these steps: Right click on Start and select Explore.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
After the new window appears select the View tab.
Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display the contents of system folders.

Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
Click Yes To confirm
Press the Apply button and then the OK button.
Once that is done: See if you can find the file to delete using Killbox
