Welcome to Tom Coyote . Sorry about the delay in responding but we are as most times just overwhelmed with logs.

Hijackthis 1.99.1
Its important that Hijackthis is installed in its own permanent folder for backup purposes.
  • Go to where you currently have HJT installed and delete the whole folder.
  • Use the link above or the links in my signature to download HJT 1.99.1 setup to your desktop
  • Double Click on the Setup icon and by defaut it will unzip to C:\Program Files\Hijackthis

Open HijackThis > Do a System Scan Only, close your browser and all open windows, the only program or window you should have open is HijackThis, check the following entries and click on Fix Checked.

Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune.
  • This program is for XP and Windows 2000 only
  • Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
  • Under Main choose: Select All
  • Click the Empty Selected button.
Your system may start up slower after running ATF Cleaner, this is expected but will be back to normal after the first or second boot up

Outside of the entries we are removing with HJT, the rest of your log looks fine, but lets do this also.

Run this free online virus scanner from Panda, it may pick up some bad entires that are not showing up on your HJT log. It's important that I see the log so copy and paste it into your next reply.
Panda ActiveScan <—-Accept default settings

There are infections being written to evade Hijackthis, so go to where you have HJT installed and right click on the HJT Icon [external image: Posted Image] and rename it to Scanner.exe, run the program to Scan and Save a Log File and post a new log into this thread.

Let me see the Panda Report and a New HJT log after you rename it.
Thanks Ken. I saw how many logs were posted sinCe I first posted. I really appreCiate the feedbaCk. (C's are Capitalized due to an unknown Condition). Here's my ACtivesCan report:

Good Morning Bob

Renaming HJT still did not pick up anything bad and I see only one bad file that Panda found.

Open Hijackthis
  • Go to Misc. Tools > Delete a File on Reboot.
  • Scroll and find c:\windows\system32\unPPC.exe
  • Highlight it and click on Open
  • It will ask you to Delete on Reboot. Say Yes
  • Reboot your system.

The rest of your log looks fine

Go to Start> All Programs> Assessories > System Tools> Disk Defragmenter. This is the Windows Disk Defragger, run this maybe once or twice a month to keep your system running good. The first time you run it, it may take awhile.

Don't know what to tell you as far as a slow computer, sometimes its not virus or malware related. A few months ago I went through my own system and uninstalled about 12 programs that I hardly ever used and had no intention of using and it seemed to put new life back into my system. Sometimes you could have two software programs conflicting and also maybe a hardware issue. I am listing some windows support sites that are better at dealing with this as this forum is for Malware and Virus removal only.

Did you notice this slowing down after you installed a particular software program or new hardware like a printer , scanner or anything else????
