Well here I am still messing with the Ghosts in the machine man I have tried everything that the techs have told me to do so far. Updated to the hilt All Windows security patches to date all the MSIE patches all of the Outlook Express updates for 6.0 NO kidding I spent all of yesterday from 7:30 am to 4:00 am today Updating and installing I installed the newest version of MSIE I uninstalled Java VM reinstalled java with the newest version to date It doesn’t matter how I delete this it just comes back every every time.I set all of the java and Active-x specs to the highest security settings possible and still be able to surf. By the way I did all this after I had thought that I had beat the beast and it seemed to work for a while anyway but sure enough it’s back I mean WTH? I might consider my self an advance computer user with a reasonable Idea of how pc’s work and function but I am truly stumped so far Three weeks on this now and still at step one I have also downloaded Adware remover AVG antivirus BHO Demon 1.0 Browser Hijack Blaster 1.0 CWshredder spy ware IE-SPYAD.EXE IE-ENOUGH.ZIP EasyCleaner Hijackthis KazzaBegone KillBox Spy bot search & destroy Zerosrealm all are updated and all are functioning correctly Here’s the story after two weeks of just screwing with this and only this.I am at a brick wall now here in week three Daemon and I took a mean crack at defeating this SON OF A B!@$!!!!! But no luck Since I work from home there is no way that I can rebuild it’s just not an option I have toooo much work to lose and really no way in backing it ALL up. It is here and so far to stay but if an EXE file can be written it sure as hell can be unwritten Can’t it ?By the way after all of this I did find a file that had a lot of the same characteristics when I opened it with a hex tool to take a look at the guts I had over looked it several times before and never thought twice about it but it was a file I didn’t recognize so I took a closer look in to it opening it to properties and copying the name and pasting it to my web browser to conduct a search on this unknown file and came up with some very suspicious similarities it took me to a website that offers Webmasters a way to aggressively advertise. The name of the file is (!SUBMIT) and here is where it lead me too http://uswebsites.com/submit/ take a look and give me some feed back if you can. I don’t know could it be the home of the CWS Trojan Hijacker ?So Please,Please help me While I still have a Hair left. I am at system idle And waiting for your response

P.S If I every met the DUMBASS retard that wrote this FN Virus on the streets I would not hesitate to take my 3 & ½ pound sledge hammer and go to town on just his lill criminal file writing digits till they resembled some Road Island road KILL man I am not kidding about that with out hesitation now try and dial a phone for an ambulance much less write more CRAPWARE hum how does that feel their Cupcake? Well it’s only a fantasy so far. Maybe some day who knows? Maybe at a computer convention

One more P.S if it wasn’t for firefox 0.8 Web Browser I would not be able to even get a message thread to you all. Huge Kudos to the Developers of Mozilla Firefox it seems that since it is a user interface system it can not run any Microsoft Windows Applications so all the Hijackers Trojans Viruses Bugs Ad-ware Spy-ware CRAPWARE can not execute their malicious code and from what I can tell from the forums of the enemies HACKERS websites They all use firefox 0.8 to surf and get their malicious code to the rest of us. And they also use Linux since all the Crap that they write to Destroy Microsoft’s OS won’t affect them So if you like I have this unwanted guest like the bum friend that Drinks all your beer and eats all your food and just won’t go away Then I suggest you Install and run Firefox as your Default web browser I HIGHLY HIGHLY RECAMEND this here is where you can get it http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/

Daemon if you are around can you give me some insite into this once again thanks your friend in the Cyber World jkasj71
Hi jcasj71,

Please download TheKillbox from here: http://download.broadbandmedic.com/VbStuff/KillBox.zip

Unzip the files to a folder, then double-click on Killbox.exe to run it. In the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste the following:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\eejbhba.dll

Don't click any of the buttons though, instead please click on the Action menu and choose "Delete on Reboot". On the next screen, click on the File menu and choose "Add File". The filename and path should show up in the window. If that's successful, choose the Action menu and select "Process and Reboot". You'll be prompted to reboot; do so.

After rebooting, please run the latest version of cwshredder. Go to this site http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip and download CWShredder. Unzip it to any convenient PERMANENT folder (such as C:\CWS) and run it. Click on "Search for Updates" and install any it finds. Then CLOSE YOUR BROWSER AND ANY WINDOWS EXCEPT THE ONE IT'S RUNNING IN and click on FIX (not SCAN, which will NOT fix anything), and let it fix everything it finds. Follow the prompts, and do as it says.

REBOOT and post a new pv.zip explorer log along with a fresh HijackThis log.

P.S I do know about the (About:Blank) line on the HJT log I just posted I delete em and the come rite back so I wont do any thing till you can give me the green lite on this
Well I just got this message from AVG that Java/ByteVerify Virus is running on my computer But When I run AVG to scan it allways comes up clean how ironic is that AVG recognize this Virus Trojan Horse But does nothing with it By the Way I have had AVG for A while and it didn't start poping this up on my screen before I got this CWS now it seems that it pop's up only after I have run the tools to remove my Home Page Hijacker could this possibly be the route of all my evil ? Hum Makes me wonder  I have read on several forums and amn refer to this as a Trojan Horse Which is a hidden folder and that is Why I can't seem to find it And trust me I have been through this pc inside and out completely Through the very guts of the computer I think that if I can learn how to use the Attrib cmd windows tool to unhide these suckers I may Gain some ground here I don't know? If any one is familiar here knows how to unhide folders please leave me a post here THAT WOULD BE COOL !!! :) :)
Hi jkasj71

I've had a bit more practice with this one since we last had a go at it. If it's OK with k3dc, I can walk you through this.

Don't run Ad-Aware, CWShredder or anything like that whilst we work through it. I need to see a HJT log when the .dll hijacker has returned. Run Registrar Lite, copy and paste this line to reglite's address bar:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows\\AppInit_DLLs

And hit the "go" tab. Find: "Appinit_Dlls" value on the right side panel, DoubleClick, copy and post here the following fields:
-Size:
-Value:
Daemon Bro You are the man I am very glad to see that you have responded to my post I was praying that you would THANK GOD !!! since You and I have worked on this together almost from the start other than that I don’t want to step on any toes here I am very thankful to K3dc for rolling up his sleeves to give me some help man you all are supper swamped here on TomCoyote I don’t know how you all do it with so many people posting their problems here and from all the posts forums that I have visited in the past few weeks going on four to be exact my wife is pretty pissed since all my time has been fighting this entity I see you helping many many people Like I said you are the man Kudos to ya for all the effort you all put in you are all very dedicated to your craft for sure If it weren’t for forums like this are Pc’s would be more like a soda pop can just toss it and get a new one a $4,000 dollar soda pop can. I have to say Microsoft Windows any version is a wide open OS to any one with knowledge of code and the flaws can and will compromise any computer running Windows I am just starting to scratch the surface of how many security flaws are built in to windows It is truly insane it really makes my stomach churn and turn it makes me sick but I have to say If I can beat this I will be the wiser for it WELCOME TO THE SCHOOL OF HARD KNOCKS

ok enough of that here is the RegLite info you have requested

(Size)..31

(Value)..C:\WINDOWS\System32\msahkm.dll

I Don't leave my computer so I will be looking for you reply

Thank God for
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/
I wouldn't even be able to post here at all since my MSIE browser is truely hijacked Sad :rant2:
OK that's the hidden hijacker, has the R0,R1 etc .dll come back yet. If so post a new HJT log, if not set your system date one day ahead, see if that triggers it, then post a log.
Yea it's back Again and again Here is the most current HJT log

With the new morph .

I'm going to give you a link to FAL's original files - she has modified them recently and I'm not yet up to speed with the changes - this fix has been successful so far when I've used it so let's give it a try. Don't run CWShredder or Ad-Aware whilst we are working through this.

Click here and download 'Find-All.zip'. Unzip and run the 'findall.bat' file inside. It'll run for a while and generate a file called output.txt - save this. Next, run the 'regsrch.vbs' file and enter this name into the search: olge.dll and proceed to search. It'll run for a while and generate report as well. From the report menu, select all, copy, name it as 'report.txt' and save it in the same folder.

Immediately when done click Start>run type regedit >OK

Expand this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects <– right-click that subfolder >Permissions>Advanced and un-check the 'inherit ..permissions' lower box, hit 'ok' and 'remove' on the prompts.

Next, expand this:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\PROTOCOLS\Filter

Search for these two subfolders (only)
text/plain
text/html

Right-click them one at a time, and un-check the 'inherit permissions' from security the same way. (If these two are not found, skip this step.)

Reboot when done, run HJT and post the log along with the 'output.txt' and report.txt' you previously saved.
Here it is I printed it out and followed it to a T

Cool Got all the info ill post back just as soon as I finish . thanx Bro you just don't know how much this means to me ;) But I have one question for ya Is'nt this file C:\WINDOWS\olge.dll/sp.html a hidden file I have heard that that there are two parts to it bothe hidden in the applint read only system32 folder and to delete it only leaves the hidden file to regenarate itself and start this mess all over again I don't know maby you can give me a little insight to this on the next post
We've identified both parts to this now, the fix above should get rid of the BHO, then we have a few more steps to get the invisible file. Trust me - it'll all become clear B)
Whew!!! OK here we go the new logs
