Please tell me what I should delete out of all this stuff. I have no idea what ANY of this means. It's like German to me….and I'm not German….I'm Texan. I'm hoping that whatever is scewing my internet up can be fixed by this program. The pages aren't loading as fast as they should (and did up until about 2 weeks ago) and some of the pictures that I have looked at many, many times are starting to show up as a box with a little red "x" in it. Also, I'm getting the "cannot find server" error or something like that. It confused me a whole lot. Please help if you can. I'd be really grateful. Thanks. :(
Hi, Welcome to Tom Coyote's! I'm Angelfire777 and it'll be my pleasure to assist you in your problem. Researching Hijackthis logs could take sometime so please, be patient while I research a fix for you. Also, I have to let experts check my fixes first before bringing them to you. Please hold on.
One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan.

This type of infection allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and download and execute files without your knowledge.

I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.

Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever be trusted again. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Please read these for more information:

How Do I Handle Possible Identify Theft, Internet Fraud and CC Fraud?

When Should I Format, How Should I Reinstall

However, if you do not have the resources to reinstall your computer and would like me to attempt to clean it, I will be happy to do so.

Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

___________________________________________________

Should you decide to clean your computer, please follow the following instructions:

*You have executed HijackThis directly from the zip file which means that the backups that it makes will not be saved. We need to extract Hijackthis.

To move Hijackthis:
  • Double-click your HijackThis.zip file and a window will open showing the HijackThis file. On the left pane, click on the link that says Extract all files.
  • The Extraction Wizard will open, click on Browse.
  • This will take you to a Select a Destination Window. Click on the (+) sign beside My computer and when it collapses, click C:\ to highlight it.
  • Click on Make New Folder. You can name your folder HJT or hijackthis or whatever you want, then click OK
  • The Hijackthis program will extract to your new folder and you will see the Extraction Complete window. Put a checkmark in the Show extracted files box and then click Finish.
  • The HijackThis folder will open to show the HijackThis program.
You can run hijackthis from its new location but if you find it more convenient to run it from your desktop, right-click HijackThis.exe and select Send To from the options and then choose Desktop (create shortcut).

*Pls. download LSP FIX from Here

In the event that you lose connection after removing NewDotNet, just run the tool then click "Finish" and it will restore your internet connection.

Do not mess with this tool or do anything with it besides the instructions above.

*Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs > uninstall the items in bold if found.

Hi, sorry for the delay, I didn't get an email notification since you posted a new thread. Before we proceed, I would need ALL the logs that I asked for. You didn't post the AVG AntiSpyware log, Panda activescan log and combofix log. On your next post, please include those 3 logs along with a fresh HijackThis log.
