Backup Your Registry with ERUNT
  • Please use the following link and scroll down to ERUNT and download it.
    http://aumha.org/freeware/freeware.php
  • For version with the Installer:
Use the setup program to install ERUNT on your computer
  • For the zipped version:
Unzip all the files into a folder of your choice.
Click Erunt.exe to backup your registry to the folder of your choice.

Note: to restore your registry, go to the folder and start ERDNT.exe

Download Registrar Registry Manager from here:
http://www.resplendence.com/download/reglite.exe

Put it in its own folder. You may want to keep this program. It is an excellent free, registry editor.

Copy and paste the follow text into the address bar, then hit 'Go':
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip

In the pane on the right are the values associated with that key.
We want to remove this one -> {20DC0D67-E2A4-4567-80C7-F873A94437FE}
NameServer = 85.255.113.146 85.255.112.173

Right click on it, and select delete.
If you get a confirmation question, respond OK then close out the program.

Reboot and post a new HJT log
So this key wasn't there? {20DC0D67-E2A4-4567-80C7-F873A94437FE} What has happened when you've done this? Click Start> Run> type in CMD tap enter key Copy/Paste: ipconfig /flushdns Now lets check some settings on your system. Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections Then right click on your Default Connection Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL Left click on Properties Double-Click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically

where do i copy/paste
ipconfig/flushdns when i type in CMD in the start>run?

In the command prompt (CMD) you can type in ipconfig /flushdns
Note the space between the g /f it needs to be in there.
That's our problem. Were you getting that message every time your tried that part of the fix? Go to Start>Control Panel>Performance and Maintenance and click on Administrative Tools. Double click on Services. Look at DNS Client and look at the StartUp Type column. If it is disabled, double click on it and set the StartUp Type to manual. If it is already on manual or Automatic, let me know.
yes it was disabled.
here is new log:

Close ALL windows and browsers except HijackThis and click "Fix checked"

No need to download again but please run it. Sometimes it takes 4-5 times running Fixwareout and the flushdns to remove the bad 017's

Double Click Fixwareout.exe and run it. Click Next, then Install, make sure "Run fixit" is checked and click Finish.
The fix will begin; follow the prompts.
You will be asked to reboot your computer; please do so.
Your system may take longer than usual to load; this is normal.

Once the desktop loads a text that will open (report.txt) Please save this file, you'll need to post it with a new HijackThis log.

Next:
Click Start> Run> type in CMD tap enter key
Copy/Paste: ipconfig /flushdns
If you are typing this in, note the space between the g /f
It needs to be there.

Now lets check some settings on your system.
Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections

Then right click on your Default Connection
Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL
Left click on Properties
Double-Click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item
Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically
Note: Do this for all Network Connections
Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks

Reboot and "copy/paste" a new HijackThis log file into this thread.

Also please describe how your computer behaves at the moment.
computers running fine.

here are logs:

You can delete any programs I had you install if you want.

Good Job

Log looks good :D

You need to create a new Clean restore point.

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Check "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, Uncheck "Show hidden files and folders."
Check "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

If you dont have any programs like these, I would recommend that you get them.
Spywareblaster,
Spywareguard.
IE Spyads
They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening.

Also get a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D

I would also suggest you read this:
So how did I get infected in the first place?
by Tony Klein
hi,done everything above just did a check to see if i am not getting re-directed to other sites as before and i am! aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!! this time it seems to be transferring from: "bxnu.com" and when download is complete,it says in the status bar:"skenzo.com" i dont believe it!
This is a nasty infection.

Try this again.

Click Start> Run> type in CMD tap enter key
Copy/Paste: ipconfig /flushdns
If you are typing this in, note the space between the g /f
It needs to be there.

Now lets check some settings on your system.
Enter your Control Panel and double-click on Network Connections

Then right click on your Default Connection
Usually Local Area Connection for Cable and DSL
Left click on Properties
Double-Click on the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) item
Select the radio dial that says Obtain DNS Servers Automatically
Note: Do this for all Network Connections
Press OK twice to get out of the properties screen and reboot if it asks
