Hi,
Having various problems…Firewall keeps catching Trojan, and scans show location as the /Data/all_files4 (which I then Googled and found you), but I don't want to delete without guidence. Dowload Accellerator keeps crashing and unable to DL Spybot. Ad-Aware freezes mid scan. Previously was using AVG and XoftSpy SE. Did manage to update Office and Explorer. Did I mention Word won't start? Don't know if that is another problem or not.

Thanks, HTL follows:

Hello and welcome to the TC forums

Please go HERE and do a online scan.
Let me know what is found.

After scan, reboot and post a new HijackThis log

Also let me know how the computer is running now.
Hi LDTate, Thanks for responding and thanks for helping. Just wanted to keep the thread warm and say that I've been bounced out of the online scan twice so far in the cleaning phase. As I am sure you know, it takes a while to run, so that explains the passage of time. I'm running it one more time today before I give up and just send you the HTL again. BTW, I finally got Word to work again by following Microsoft's troubleshooting list and ultimately reinstalling. I found no viruses on the way, however. The comuter runs fine most of the time except when an application isn't working. For example, the printer doesn't work currently. Kind of like chasing through a maze. I'm at work, and won't be back to the computer until 8PM EST. Many thanks
Sorry, LD, F-Secure failed to complete after 4 tries. <_<

On the plus side, running XoftspySE and Lavasoft software dayly.

Cheers,

Here is my latest HJL:

You need to create a new Clean restore point.

Note: This will remove all previous Restore Points

Turn off System Restore:

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Restart your computer, turn it back on.

On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Remove the Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Double-click My Computer.
Click the Tools menu, and then click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Check "Hide file extensions for known file types."
Under the "Hidden files" folder, Uncheck "Show hidden files and folders."
Check "Hide protected operating system files."
Click Apply, and then click OK.

If you dont have any programs like these, I would recommend that you get them.
Spywareblaster,
Spywareguard.
IE Spyads
They will add 1000's of sites to your resticted zone and block some hijacks from happening.

Also get a FREE FIREWALL and FREE ANTI VIRUS if you need one.

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system.

Keep your system up to date and run Adaware & Spybot, once a week works, and hopefully you will be ok from here on. Both are available below.

Safe Surfing. :D

I would also suggest you read this:
So how did I get infected in the first place?
