Hi,

My home page got hijacked a few months ago to "about:blank". The about:blank (along with a blank page) shows up when ever I close a window/exit the internet. Today while trying to access a site to download my camera to print the pictures, one of the companies webpages would not load and at the bottom the screen would showed: waiting for about:blank. So I'm basically stuck.

I've been running the Mcafee virus scans, spy sweeper, lavasoft ad-aware se personal, cwshredder. I remove trojans or cookies/spyware when found, but it seems to come back. Today cwshredder found cws.msconfig. It was removed, but the problem still occurs. Reading the forums at Mcafee, I tried the smitfraudfix and the report listed about:home. This was apparently removed, as when I reran smitfraudfix, reference to about:home was gone. (I saved the reports) The Mcafee forum suggested trying Hijack this.
