Below find my hijackthis log. Any help you can give me will be greatly appreciated. I have tried to do as much as I can but have hit a wall. I cannot update any virus software or windows updates as I keep being sent to other websites instead. The computer also will shut itself down if I keep trying to get to these sites.

Please only use this topic to reply to. Do not start another thread.
If any other issues arise let me know.
The process is not instant. Please continue to review my answers until I tell you your machine is clear. Absence of symptoms does not mean that everything is clear. So lets do this to the end!
Please if you decide to seek help at another forum let us know. There is a shortage of helpers and tying 2 of us up is a waste of time.
If you have any questions about any advice given here please STOP and ask!

! ! ! DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP ! ! !

You are running HJT directly from the desktop.
Create a folder called HJT either in C: or My documents and place the
hijackthis.exe in there.
This will ensure we have back ups made and it doesn't get deleted .

______________

Lets get qoologic first.

__Please download Qoofix by RubbeR DuckY from one of the following locations:

http://www.malwarebytes.org/Qoofix.zip or
http://www.besttechie.net/tools/Qoofix.zip
  • Unzip all files to a convenient location such as C:\Qoofix.
  • Go to the folder you unzipped all files and run Qoofix.exe.
  • Click Begin Removal and wait for the scan to finish.
  • If an infection has been found, select yes to restart your computer.

Please download the Killbox by Option^Explicit

Note: In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.
Save it to your desktop.
Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
Select:
Delete on Reboot
then Click on the All Files button.
Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

C:\WINDOWS\ckeudsr.exe
C:\WINDOWS\ckeudsrA.exe
C:\WINDOWS\System32\ym.dll
C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmonwv.dll

Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.

Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click OK at any PendingFileRenameOperations prompt (and please let me know if you receive this message!).

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.

In your next reply I would like to see:
  • A new HJT log
  • The Qoofix logfile
Thanks for your response. I followed all of the steps you asked me to including making a HijackThis folder on my C: drive. I will tell you what occured before I post the qoofix and hijack this logs. I am working from two different computers as I cannot get internet access from the one that is infected. I downloaded and burned to disk the files you needed me to use and transfered them to the infected computer. When I used the Killbox program I had to type the C:\Windows\System32\ym.dll and C:\WINDOWS\System32\dmonwv.dll as I could not cut and paste from a clipboard. I had to do each one of these individually as I could not find any file name listed as such. I rebooted and then had to go back and remove the other one, the first one I removed was the dmonwv.dll file. When I went to remove the other one, Killbox went through the steps but the prompt "PendingFileRenameOperations Registry Data has been Removed by External Process!" appeared and I had to reboot manually. I figured you needed to know this. Now here are the log files:

They look as if their still there so lets try again.

Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.

In your next reply I would like to see:
  • A new HJT log (after you rename it)
  • Let me know what happened with KIllbox
Ok here goes….Again I will start with what occured while following your steps. I deleted the desktop copy of HijackThis and used the one I had saved to my c: drive. I renamed the program nofun as directed. I ran Killbox and followed you directions to copy and paste ckeudsr.exe and ckeudsrA.exe but still could not get both names to appear at one time. I tried a few different ways but couldnt get them together so I did them one at a time. I hope this is ok. The first one I did was ckeudsr.exe and I rebooted and all was ok. When I tried to do the same thing with ckeudsrA.exe, I again got the prompt stating PendingFileRenameOperations and clicked ok. I then had to reboot manually.
The next step was the Stop and disable srvs. I followed the directions and found the windows overlay component was already stopped but I did have to change it to "disable" in start up type. I rebooted as required but nothing but wallpaper appeared so I rebooted yet again and everything seemed to be ok. I then, just so I could see, checked under msconfig, and saw ckeudsrA still listed and had a check mark in it for startup. The location that is the file is listed in is HKLM\Software|Microsoft|Windows\Current Version\Run. I did this as I could not find the file listed when I went through Killbox and though I may be able to find it this way. I then tried using Killbox again but once again got the PendingFileRename prompt. I then went back to following the steps you provided. When I ran HijackThis I followed the directions and placed a check mark in the first three files you mentioned but the fourth was not on the list. I then rebooted and checked msconfig and found ckeudsrA is listed but there was no checkmark in the startup menu. When I was finished I tried to access the internet to try to finally update virus software but was unable to. I dont know if something we did made this happen, but I figured I would let you know and see what you thought. I was able to get online before we started this but would get hijacked. By the way I am still using 2 computers to do all this….not that you think….this guy is talking to me but thinks hes not online….what a loony. The following are the log files for HJT before and after the check marks and reboot.

awaiting your next directions…..

thanks again
I seem to be having trouble with my ISP now. Please bear with me and see if the problem is on their end or if its my puter. I believe it the ISP as neither of my puters will sign on now so I am sending this email from work. How did those logs look to you? thanks

How did those logs look to you?

thanks

Theres still more to do for sure.
But I thought I would try and get your puter back online first.
Nothing we have done should have effected your internet connection.
I am glad to hear it's both computers ( I know this sounds heartless but you know what I mean) Hopefully it is just your ISP and they will have that corrected in no time.

Let me know what happens when you get home.
Ok I am back up on the non infected computer and will deal with theother one when I really need to. I tried the last program you sent me, the winsock one, but it didnt make any difference. It was probably all ISP carp**. I am ready and again waiting your direction.
Please download VundoFix.exe to your desktop.
Double-click VundoFix.exe to run it.
Click the Scan for Vundo button.
Once it's done scanning, click the Remove Vundo button.
You will receive a prompt asking if you want to remove the files, click YES
Once you click yes, your desktop will go blank as it starts removing Vundo.
When completed, it will prompt that it will shutdown your computer, click OK.
Turn your computer back on.
Please post the contents of C:\vundofix.txt and a new HiJackThis log.
Ok here goes. I hope this is what you were looking for.

This is what came up on vundo……
