MS 2007 Time Zone Update for Windows

"Microsoft released an update* today for the change in Daylight Saving Time (DST) that goes into affect next spring in the United States due to the Energy Policy Act of 2005. The update also addresses some changes in other timezones.
This update is not currently showing up on Microsoft Update so users will need to download it manually for the time being if they want it. The update will be included on Microsoft Update, Automatic Update and WSUS starting December 12, 2006. Updates were released for Windows 2003 and Windows XP. Windows Vista will include the newer timezone data…"

"…Starting in the spring of 2007, daylight saving time (DST) start and end dates for the United States will transition to comply with the Energy Policy Act of 2005. DST dates in the United States will start three weeks earlier (2:00 A.M. on the second Sunday in March) and will end one week later (2:00 A.M. on the first Sunday in November)…"

"Apparently the Western Australian government just decided on November 21 to make a change to their Daylight Savings Time period as well, which oh by the way, will now start on December 3rd of this year (yup, nine days from now). Microsoft has already released an update for the Windows operating systems under support: Windows 2003, Windows XP and Windows Vista. To get more information about the update and to download it, go here*."
