Thanks for the new upload. An expert wants to have a deeper look at the file. I will get back to you on the results when I can. What about AVG - is it finding anything?
Hi Kevin! Unfortunately the file is showing as 0 byte. Can you do two things for me please.

First:
Please go back and check the properties of this file:

C:\WINNT\System32\vfwwdm32.exe

This time, please tell me the Size and Size on disk shown.

Second
Make sure you still have the Suspicious file Packer program or redownload it from here again:
Suspicious file Packer

Delete any previous .cab files we created.

You may want to print this out as we will need to reboot back into Safe Mode.

Reboot your computer in Safe Mode.
  • If the computer is running, shut down Windows, and then turn off the power.
  • Wait 30 seconds, and then turn the computer on.
  • Start tapping the F8 key. The Windows Advanced Options Menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.
  • Ensure that the Safe Mode option is selected.
  • Press Enter. The computer then begins to start in Safe mode.
  • Login on your usual account.
Once in Safe Mode, do the following:

Run SFP.exe.

Please copy the following line into the Step 1: Paste Text window:

C:\WINNT\System32\vfwwdm32.exe

then click "Continue" and close Suspicious file Packer

This will create a .cab file on your desktop named requested-files[Date/Time].cab

Reboot back into Normal Mode

Disable AVG anti-virus temporarly by right-clicking on the AVG anti-virus icon in system tray and select Quit AVG Control Center.
Important: Do not use surf the internet while AVG anti-virus is disabled!

Next, go back to your thread in the other forum here…

…and click on the REPLY button. Click on Browse next to the Attach box, locate the new .cab file and upload it. Make sure AVG anti-virus is disabled during this time. Once the file is uploaded, immediatly enable AVG anti-virus.

Let me know when the new post is up and post the Size of the vfwwdm32.exe file please.

Thanks! :)
